  On our 2nd day of vacation 3 of us ended up with pink eye. My 3 1/2 year old swam one day in the pool and could not go back in because of pink eye.in both of his eyes. I will always take a test kit on vacation from now on. No one in the office was very helpful and Resort Quest was rude as well. Just know that if you bring a boat the area in front of the dock on out to the channel has never been dredged so plan for difficulty or possibly getting stuck. Wireless hot spot they are not. You have to sit out in front of your room to get online, or to use your cell phone. On the beach beware of silver surf guests, they grab beach chairs meant for Tortuga guests and when you ask their beach people if you can use one of the beach chairs that are stacked and chained they will say no. On a good note the trolley does stop right out front. The island was beautiful and there are many other places to stay besides this resort, look around!!

  we booked Tortoga and were sent to Trade Winds when we arrived. The rest of our party did not book through Travelocity and had rooms at Tortuga. We were never told that we were in a different hotel down the street

  We had a really nice time! Hotel was beautiful. Our room was a suite, some rooms are actually apartments. Decor is very tropical. Spacious rooms. Beach within a few steps. Nice pool area. W/D on site. No restaurant on site, but within walking distance. Very quiet at night. Parking is somewhat limited. Nice porches in front of rooms. We will definitely be going again next year! We had a wonderful time!!
