The hotel was overall very nice. Facilities were clean. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. However, my wife and I had two issues that really ruined our overall hotel experience. First, our room had a very strong musty smell. So offensive that we had to buy electric air fresheners to mask it. It took a couple of hours the first night for the air freshens to do their work so half of our 1-day stay was affected. The second problem was the pool, or better yet, it's location. For some reason they put the pool right next to guest rooms so the noise from the people frolicking was pretty bad since our room was closest and we went to bed early. Had the pool been crowded, this would have been bad enough for us to request a new room. On a positive note, the staff at the desk was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. I give the two we dealt with 5 stars! If they can get their rooms smelling fresh and nice, this hotel IMO would be highly recommended. Because from a cleanliness standpoint the room was exceptional. If we returned to the area and the room smell was taken care of we would likely stay there again, but not in a room near the pool. But getting rid of the smell might be difficult depending on where it's coming from.

This hotel was wonderful!! Front staff were very welcoming and helpful, as we were new to the area. The suite was large enough for 4 people to watch TV and still have privacy in the the other room. We will stay here again when we return in the spring! A little hard to find off Old Crain Highway - call ahead for directions.

Friendly front desk, fresh baked cookies and overall staff was great. Clean room and excellent overall stay, would stay again especially now that I know where it is located. Just a little hard to find, since it's sign on Route 301 is not as bright as the others.

08/11/2008Hotel is fairly new, and is very clean and spacious. comparable to other country inn and suites that i have stayed in before. i will stay here again.
