I was looking for a cheap room so I didn't have very high expectations. I was pleasantly suprised when I reached my room. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had no trouble hooking up to the highspeed internet with my laptop and they had all my favorite channels on the TV. At night it was peaceful and I slept like a baby. In fact I slept right through breakfast so I can't comment on that but overall it was a great stay. Next time I'm in Grand Haven I will be back.

All of these rooms open to the outside. Ours was in the back building, second floor, outside open stairway. The room was dated and there was mildew on some of the tub tile. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and seemed to be clean. This hotel is right on a very busy highway business route so the front rooms would have a lot of noise. Ours at the back was fine. The ""continental breakfast"" was the worst I've ever had. Very minimal, and the waffle batter was sour.

I am from Grand Haven and i have had a couple friends and people i know try and stay there and left right away! Yes its a good location right in town. but its not clean at all, and they have people living in this hotel and not cleaning the rooms before you use them. The owners dont care and walk around barefoot and can barely speak english. This place is just disgusting! i highly recommend you stay somewhere else!

I stayed there 2 years ago and their rooms were still very decent for the rates.. However, I just stayed few weeks back and the property is part of the Choice Hotels and the hotel has gone through a major renovation. Every penny that I had spent at the motel- I felt as if it was worth it. Rooms were clearner that majority of the places i have stayed at. Rooms also have good amenities. Out of all, I thought that the staff was very friendly and very helpful. They were very helping in finding attractive places for me in the grand haven area. The rates are also cheaper than any other place nearby.. Bottom Line---I descrise my stay in 2 words--AMAZING STAY.......

Bed was hard as a rock, a/c unit smelled of smoke for a non smoking room, blanket had burn marks from cigs on it, may have had some other dried liquid on it if you get my drift!! threw it on the floor... woke up to a big spider coming down from the ceiling we got up and left ASAP They don't allow pets, should have, dog pee would be an upgrade.....
