  I travel frequently around the state and I love this hotel. From the bottled water welcome at check in to the ride to the airport at departure, the place is a class act every step of the way. The rooms are comfortable, clean and thoughtfully appointed. I really like the charming fish sconce night lights and the flat screen tv's that allow you to plug in a portable DVD player and really enjoy a movie. If you don't have the cables with you, walk a few blocks to Radio Shack in Sitka and they will set you up. I like the separate coffee/makeup counter outside the bathroom that allows two people to get ready in the morning. The breakfast room is spacious and cheery with lots of good food to choose from, the public computers are speedy and free, the laundry room is a bargain and spotless...a great place to freshen up your wardrobe if you are on the road. Best of all are the views from the rooms, there really isn't a bad one, and the wonderful, professional and friendly staff. For my money, this is the best hotel in Sitka and one of the very best in the state. It's my favorite for comfort, affordability and ammenities.
