Very hospitable staff! Wonderful facility and grounds. Excellent place to stay on your way in or out of the airport. It is kind of hard to find;but what isn't in the San Jose area; but the staff will come get you in their van or, as in our case, came to the rental car location and led us to the hotel. We will stay here again next time we come in or out of the country again!

We stayed at Robledal and LOVE IT, everything was very clean , the room the bathroon. The owners are very friendly and helpfull so are their sons. The food was very good, we will happylly return next time we go to Costa Rica.

These folks are terrific! This is completely a family-run business. Mother cooks great, quick meals, father keeps the grounds perfect, and three sons take care of your every travel need. We highly recommend Hotel Robledal as a great place to land in Costa Rica, and from which to fly out. They can also arrange your rental car, other transportation, etc., as well as take you anywhere in their small van. A terrific local-style breakfast came with the room (fresh fruit, rice and beans, eggs or fried cheese, fresh-made tropical fruit juice, real Costa Rican coffee, bread, guava jam and butter!). Dinners were very tasty as well. But mainly, we can't say enough about the service. These people really took extra good care of us! We had a few problems (with a previously-arranged rental car, and tickets/transportation for the Tico Train) and the guys took care of it all, quickly and efficiently. We were grateful and happy!

We needed a place to stay between legs of our trip and lucked onto this hotel. This isn't a resort or tourist hotel - only 9 rooms - but is family run and very friendly. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The dining room is outdoors (wonderful) and only serves very basic meals, but the food was very good. This isn't a place to stay if you want a resort, but is a good place to stay overnight near the airport. We stayed here again on our return flight - we got in late and the staff stayed and cooked us dinner after the dining room had closed. The owners also run tours up to Arenal.
