We were in town visiting family. The price was excellent (under 80/night). The lobby/room was clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast buffet was typical but fresh. The beds were a bit firm for me but my husband liked it. Wish the beds were Queen size tho, full is awfully small. Pool was nice but very very cold and there is no shade anywhere. Hot tub was a disappointment. I was sooo looking forward to sitting in the hot tub (especially in the evening when the weather cooled). However, it was cool to lukewarm. I reported it 3 times to front desk but it never was fixed. The staff was very friendly and accomodating in every other aspect. They were friendly about the hot tub too, but I guess maintenance never got around to it. We had our 7 yr old grandson with us and he loved it!

I made the ultimate travel boo boo- I booked my stay at this hotel for the wrong weekend. I was standing at the check-in desk almost in tears. I looked at the guy behind the counter, who was the manager, and told him I was about ready to cry. I had just traveled 12 hours in a car with three children ages 4 and under to this small town for a family reunion-- I NEEDED a hotel room in the worst way. The kind manager told me not to cry and that he was going to make everything work. They only had four rooms left- three of which were smoking. He could have charged me an outlandish price for the one non-smoking room, a room with a king bed & jacuzzi, but he didn't. I was only charged $15 more than what my original reservation price was and then he helped me move the next day to my originally requested room. The place was busy, and he could have told me to go down the street, but he didn't. I was very impressed by their level of customer service and genuine concern.
The rooms were clean and the facility was nice. Our stay was in July 2007 and they had only been open for 5 months. The continental breakfast was nice and well stocked. My kids enjoyed the pool (and the jacuzzi in our room the first night). Even though the hotel was full all weekend I really didn't hear any noise. For Chipley, FL the location was very nice- close to the interstate, easy to find, and close to restaurants (and the Wal-Mart).
I visit Chipley to see family on a regular basis. I'll definitely be using this hotel over the others. -
