Premises was compact, but clean, and the staff was friendly. They were courteous and knowledgeable. The room was modern and as clean as most hotels I have stayed in in the U.S. Lighting was good, the view was okay, and the bathroom quite adequate. It was larger than my bathroom at home. The air conditioning worked fine. The room was quiet. I would stay again.

Not a good value
10/21/2007Unless you really want to stay in mongkok, i would suggest choosing another hotel. relative to other hotels in kowloon, i wouldn't pay more than us$* to stay here ...
Unless you really want to stay in Mongkok, I would suggest choosing another hotel. Relative to other hotels in Kowloon, I wouldn't pay more than US$* to stay here again, which is well below the rate I paid. Mongkok itself is a very interesting part of Kowloon, but it's easily accessible from other areas where you can probably find a better value for lodging. The hotel has wi-fi, but no computers for travelers who didn't bring a laptop. The matresses may as well be made of plywood. My room was not filthy but kind of dingy and old. The surrounding buildings (seen from a 4"x4" hole in the glaze on my room's windows) are decrepit. I am not positive but I believe all the rooms are smoking rooms. The staff is very helpful and courteous, and the housekeeping staff in particular were very attentive. Perhaps the upgraded rooms are nicer and more comfortable, but I can't imagine the difference would justify more than $* a night.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this Hotel to everybody. It was the 3rd time I stayed there and I would certainly go back there in the future. It is close to the MTR station and busses and within walking distance of the markets. The only thing that is not so nice are the hard beds.

we took the bus A21 from the airport and it droped off out side the front door where the bell hop was ready to help us with our luggage - we took the hotel shuttle service back to the airport which did not stop any where else so it was great value for money large room thanks to upgrade and door to door transfer worth the chance!
