I booked this Hotel for my parents for their birthdays. After going down town to see them and seeing what I had paid for, I was extremely disappointed. The room was nothing like the pictures. It looked OLD and tattered. The bed spread, which was supposed to be off-white, was very off-white...like dirty and stained looking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone if that is what all the rooms look like.

We booked an Ambassador Suite room on the 6th floor of Riverwalk ;wing;, Room*. It was a corner room. Housekeeping did a great job, when we needed them, as we had our privacy tag on the door about 90% of the time and no one disturbed us at all. The room had plenty of space, was clean, and the bed/pillows were comfortable. The room was quiet with the doors closed. The bathroom had plenty of amenities and a nice, deep sunk in jet tub. There was a dressing area outside the bathroom, with about a 7ft long marble countertop and giant mirror. There was also a closet with robes in the dressing area. The private balcony was big enough for 2 people and had a perfect view. It is about 2 feet deep or so though. There were buildings to the left and right, but not directly in front of us. It was very nice at night. This room had lots of privacy! Well, on one side. The shared balcony, shares with 3 other rooms in a huge covered area with chairs, with perfect views as well. I think 2 of the rooms that shared views in this location were not suites. However, you would want to keep the drapes closed on the shared balcony door, if you had strangers next door. The private balcony we kept open all night. There was a Valet parking service at the hotle, and a parking garage directly across from the hotel entrance on college st. It was * each time you left. There is also a Walgreens 1 block away, and the Alamo is another 2 blocks east. There were romance packages, spa packages, etc. at this hotel. They had a bar and restaurants. My wife and I would stay here again.

We have stayed in the La Mansion del Rio now on three different occasions, and each time, the service has rivaled that of any top hotel. The Spanish style architecture is perfect for a stay in San Antonio, and the location on the Riverwalk makes everything convenient. Whether you are interested in a family vacation, a romantic getaway, a business trip or just an escape for reality, it is perfect for everyone and a fabulous value.

My family and I travel alot and I must say this is one of the best hotels. We loved the french doors to our room, the comfort of the beds,& the staff was awesome. You must dine in @ the Las Canarias restaurant in the hotel courtyard. We only stay @ the 4 -5 star hotels and this is definetly for the elite. Most of the bigger hotels(in name) we've visited make you feel like you're just another guest,whose willing to pay that biig bill @ the end of your stay. However, our experince here @ Omni LaMasion was like we were more than just another guest. Thank you Omni LaMasion Hotlel for this wonderful experience. If the Lord allows, we'll see you soon

Location of the Omnil was perfect. Service was superior. Elevators were slow and on one occaision the elevator closest to us was out of order. I would definitely stay hear again and recommend the hotel to all.
