All I have to say is that I had the best time down in Key West. The hotel Casa Marina was the finest place I have ever stayed at. They were friendly, helpful, always made sure my wife and I were satisfied with evrything, any activeties we did could be set up right on the property. Also the guest were friendly and nice too. The hotel is in a very good location to everything. I know next time I go down, I will be staying there again. Key west was the best vacation my wife and I have ever had. Will come back soon..

The resort was really beautiful. We stayed in the King Suite and they upgraded us to an ocean view when we told them we were on our honeymoon. The staff were all friendly, opening doors for you and smiling and saying hello. That was nice but at the same time one day there would be people buzzing around and opening doors, and the next day we didn't see anyone, not even the concierge. Drawbacks: for what you pay for, there's no free internet access (they charge $* per 24 hours of usage -- go to the local internet cafe and if you have a lap top, all you have to do is purchase $* worth of food and you can use their wireless for free), no microwave in the suite even though there's a fridge, so if you want to re-heat leftovers you're out of luck, overall everything is very overpriced so try not to purchase any of the drinks, food, or other products at the resort. The beach, while looked nice, up close it didn't make me want to go in! We were happy with our stay and thought the cost was worth it since it was our honeymoon. They've also got a great breakfast buffet, but it's $*/per person. There are so many hotels and resorts on the island, and everywhere we went it seemed the locals knew that this was the nicest and biggest resort in Key West. If we go back to visit again, we might do more research and stay somewhere more affordable and give up the chic looks of the place.

It is one of the few if not the only hotel that has a very nice beach with palm trees, hammocks, etc. Great place for a family and relaxing for empty nesters like ourselves! It is fun to go into town, but great to come back to the resort. Food was good and service was awesome.

First the positive- The hotel was gorgeous, the staff was friendly and helpful, the amenities were top notch, the pools and beach were great, the room was clean, stylish and comfortable. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Now the negative- It's a bit of a hike to Duval St ;about 15 minutes, which seems like longer in the blazing sun- so be prepared to do some serious walking unless you want to cab it back and forth;. Also, I did NOT appreciate being charged a daily $* resort fee upon checking out. What are they charging me for that isn't already included in the cost of staying there? On top of being charged $* a day for internet ;come on guys, most hotels offer this complimentary in 2009! I got the distinct feeling of being nickel and dimed when given the bill when checking out.

Just a short note to say the Casa Marina in Key West is excellent. The guide books list it as quaint but old and needing up grading- They must be old reviews. The place was in great condition and the staff was very accomodating. Probably the only little negative was they did NOT have Bell hop staff on hand to help you with your bags to your room. We would stay again.
