This is an old style Florida hotel. We had a junior suite that had about 600 square feet of living space, seperate living and sleeping areas. The patio was small with some privacy and overlooked Mallory Square. The rooms were clean and comfortable, not luxurious and met our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was noise from Mallory Square for the sunset ritual but that lasted only an hour or so. While the cruise ships dock close the traffic was tolerable and there was little or no noise. 0 Duvall is close to the tour trains, boats and walking distance to many of the major attractions.

ocean key was wonderful!!! can not say one bad thing about it. this was our first time to key west and we cannot wait to go back. we would stay only at ocean key. they have a great pool which has a gorgeous view of the water. pool bar was super and staff at pool bar and all over the resort was very attentive. we also loved to go to sunset pier every night for a sunset celebration and great entertainment. this was a trip we will never forget. we love ocean key.

From the time we rolled up to the curb, until the bellman packed the car at the time of our departure our experience was GREAT!...the room was amazing, the in room Jacuzzi and shower had a view of the harbor...our terrace overlooked both the harbor and Mallory Square...the pool area and tiki bar were the best...all this, right on Duval Street!...we have stayed at three other harbor front properties in the past...we will return here on our next visit to Key West...

We stayed at the hotel Feb 14-21 2009 and had an absolutely fabulous time!!! The hotel is spotless, the staff extremely accomdating to every need. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was huge. We had my daughter and a friend and there was plenty of room for all. I never felt crowed in our room. The hotel has wonderful views...the pool is beautiful and the sunset views can't be beat. It is located in the heart of Duval Street and was perfect for walking around and shopping., You can have lunch at the pool and the staff is very accomodating..You didn't have to wait to for a drink......They brought around pineapple to all the guests which I thought was a nice added touch. The weather was perfect during the time we stayed there and on the last day a front came in and it was quite windy but you could still sit by the pool......as the hotel was a shield from the wind. I had many questions and the front desk staff was always a pleasure to deal with whether I approached them at 6:30 am or 11 pm. I can't wait to go back in June and will stay here again!!!!! It's right next to Mallory Square so you can walk over and see the street performers at sunset......A must if you go to Key . We only did it on the last night and I was sorry we didn't go more than one night. Very entertaining....and alot of local artists with wonderful things to buy...Check out the women who paints the tiles.......A little bit of Key West to take home with you!!!!!

This is a great ""little"" hotel that gives you the best of the Duval Street action (you can walk to everything), along with beautiful water views of the Gulf if you opt for Oceanview. The infamous sunset celebration is right out the door! The suites were small but well-appointed. Fun, bright colors, hand-painted furniture, etc. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The Hot Tin roof restaurant was a very nice place to eat (GREAT breakfasts), with stunning views and fairly good service. The Sunset Pier restaurant is really a bar, so good for drinks and bar food. Nice bartenders. Only complaints were the rooms are not super soundproofed, so you have to be a sound sleeper or use ear plugs, and we had really bizarre, spotty linen service (repeatedly) - no wash clothes the first day, tons of them after the complaint, but then no bath mat. Things like shampoos, etc. were not replenished unless reminded, which is a bit annoying for a many star property. We also had very poor TV reception, which was a bummer given the lovely large, flat screen TV. We would definitely go back again and recommend it to friends.
