The Edgewater exceded my expectations. The staff was freindly. The hotel was very clean and beautifully appointed. My 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool and beach was an amazing room for the money. I was travelling as a single female and felt completely comfortable. I am however bringing my family back this Fall as I feel it is the perefct place for a family, a couple, or a single person who wants elegance, rest, quiet, and miles of beautiful beach to walk and play on. If you are looking for ""Kid Activities"" like a Tradewinds or a Disney kind of thing this not it. This is an elegant, ( but not stuffy or pretentious) boutique hotel. Dining in your room or at the hotel is no more expensive than most better hotels but should you want options there is Old Downtown Naples as well as everything from Pizza joints and Starbucks and Einsteins within a mile or two. I'm a walker and walked everywhere. There is a bus to the evergaldes that stops right at the hotel. If you wantt o play golf and have more options for food, pools etc the hotel is part of the Naples Grande and while that is not in walking distance - the hotel wll bring you there. All in all I recommend it highly.

If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature as well as use the comfort of a modern and clean hotel, this is it. Kids love it, the ocean is peaceful and full of surprises with lots of tiny fish and white soft sand. Great fishing nearby, boat renting nearby, lots of restaurants and shopping a few miles away. We love it, and keep coming back, but we would like a harder matress. Price could be lower, especially for Florida residents. Other hotels in the area are closing deals based on this fact, but you need time to deal with them ahead of time.

Loved this hotel. I never write reviews but felt compelled to based on the great stay we had. Very family friendly with the amenities and in room kitchens. . Room was large, clean and up to date. We had an amazing balcony with view of the pool and beach. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel. I liked the bed so much I wanted to see who made it so i could buy one for home. Location and beach was great. The only issue we had was that the hotel charged for a beach umbrella. It should be included with the stay. We actually bought 2 umbrellas at a local supermarket for the same price as 1 days rental at the hotel. For a 5 day stay it made a lot of sense. The other issue was the beach chairs must be turned in by 6 pm so they can be locked up. This is horrible for a person who likes to sit on the beach late in the day and enjoy the sunset. I can overlook this slight issue for the many positive aspects of this hotel. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at the Edge Water in May. We Loved it. I was with a group of friends and we found the hotel to be great. Our room was huge!! We had a two bedroom suite over looking the water. The room was very beautiful and very clean. We did feel the food was crazy money and there is NO need to charge your guests for umbrellas when you are paying for a room. (never mind a suite). Fix the umbrella in the room...this was crazy. we had a great time and would return. Loved every minute.
