Really bad neighborhood. In the same parking lot with Denny's which is 24 hours....YIKES! Cops everywhere all day and night. There was no internet all day or night long. Asked for a non smoking room, was given a smoking one that had an air purifier on....GROSS!! Had to change rooms. Pretty run down place.

  • Beds too small

The hotel was very nice except the beds were very small - more like regular size than queen size!

Could hear the train a couple times in the evening, but not a bother at all. Beds comfortable, pleasant staff, and rooms were fine. The continential breakfast was good too. Also, they are conveniently located close to the freeway (can't hear any noise from it) & a big shopping center with great resturants. For the price we would definitely stay here again.

We were not sure what to expect when walking up to the building. It looked like a prison. It was all cement and very old looking. But once inside we were pleasantly surprised. We were inside a lima bean factory and our room was the inside of a silo. Very spacious and all the amenities you could need. Our only disappointment was the breakfast. They did have make your own waffles and that was great. But the cereal was stale and they had no bananas. Other La Quinta's we have been to have had better offerings.

My family and I found it to be very nice. If you are a light sleeper you may want to ask to be on the parking lot side of the building that used to be a mill or in the main part of the hotel due to the noise of the trains, but, I didnt find it very disturbing but someone who is a light sleeper may. We thought that it was very neat how they repurposed an old building and made it into something useable. The breakfast left a little to be desired, and unlike many La Quinta inns they did not have to make your own waffle thing which was a disappointment to the kids but over all very good value and pretty close to everything about 15-20 min to major attractions and beaches.
