This hotel is in an absolutely fabulous location in the quarter; however, the walls are paper-thin. If the person in the next room sneezes you hear it. And, the sheets are cheap, overwashed percale so have little nubs that makes it feel like you're sleeping on sandpaper. The pillows and towels are fine. There is absolutely no security in the building...anyone can walk in from the street. The pool area is lovely and the pool heated, the exercise room is also very nice. My first room was very moldy but the staff was very cooperative in finding me another right away. The staff is very pleasant. I would not stay here again, there are other hotels in the Quarter for the same money.

07/29/2009Bourbon orleans is in an ideal location. although the decor and room could use some freshening and updates, it was perfectly comfortable and the staff were extremely accomodating.

The lobby and pool areas of this hotel are very nice. The rooms are actually pretty nice, but the walls are super thin. We could hear everything the people in the room next to us were doing. Also we checked in and the room had no soap. On our second day of the stay we ran out of toilet paper and didn't have any extra rolls. How does housekeeping miss that kind of stuff? Also, the concierge recommended a cemetery tour that had a loopy guide. Best to check on the reviews of the tours before picking one.

I love this hotel! The location is perfect, the services are exceptional and everyone was wonderful. If I have to find a fault at all, it was the very (very) long walk from the elevators to my room - but quite worth it once I arrived! I tried to book this hotel again but it was full - I think many people feel the same as I do.

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are well appointed The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is literial in the middle of the French Quarter. My wife and I had a wonderful time. New Orleans is back !!
