THE front of the building looks ok but out behind the building were ya park looks like skid row the rooms seemed clean but were old and in need of repairs looks like an old motel from the 1960s they should spend a little of that fortune on a remodel for the money i would not stay there again i thought super 8s were suposed to be nicer than that

We stayed at this hotelfor 2 nights with our dogs and we had a very nice time. The staff upon checkin were very helpful and extremely friendly and accommodating. when we got there we were given a smoking room so we asked for a non smoking room and the staff gladly prepared one for us. The room itself was a step above from what we had previously been given through online travel website without extra charge. We had 2 double beds in our new room(one for our dogs and one for us!!) The room was very well prepared and clean. The second morning we left for the day and when we returned the room again was well prepared. The service at all levels, the desk, maid service, the grounds, even the plumber we had to have gladly provided his service with a smile was to be commended. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and when or if we can go back to Tahoe, that will definitely be the place we will check first. the young ladies at the desk even allowed us to check in 2 hours earlier. We can not say enough good things about the hotel room we had. the only thing i would like to suggest to make the rooms better is for the hotel to eliminate the use of extention cords by adding more sockets.

The price was very good for a Saturday night in Tahoe ! Location was excellent for skiing , I didn't need to drive to Heavenly because there is a ski shuttle stop right out in front of the motel . I have stayed at many motels in Tahoe and this one is not bad at all compared to many places I have seen and paid much more to stay at . So don't let the whiners who have given bad reviews on this motel miss lead you.

Desk clerks were cold and uncaring. The room was stinky and had not had a good cleaning in what looked like years. What really got me, was the shower (no tub) didn't even have one shelf to put the soap on! -- This place is a dive and is falling apart in many places. We'll never go back and I don't think I'll ever chance a Super 8 again. I'm surprised the online travel agency even associates w/ this so-called motel. This place was a dump, plain and simple.

I got the Super 8 through the Hotwire gamble. Should have took it for a sign as to how our gambling would go in South Lake Tahoe... ;-) The room was OKAY. Nothing spectacular. Cable with HBO, but no movie options, which kept us at the Casino until 1 am, instead of relaxing in the room. NOTE: This was my first time using Hotwire... and I will NEVER do that again. Got a smoking room, never asked for one. There were only two small towels, but when I went down to ask for more, they graciously handed me another set. So that was not a problem. I woke up stuffy and congested from the dust and the smell of cigarettes. The final, discomforting, note was that when I went to take a shower... at about 9am, there was only Luke Warm or Ice Cold options. No hot water... ugh! -- oh, the coffee at the continental breakfast gave me indigestion the rest of the day. On the positive side, it was not noisy and we got a good nights sleep which was all we really wanted.
