hotel is not nice from the outside it all, its old and overrated, we asked for extra towels and it took them 3 hrs, seriously not exagg, they have free breakfeast but its not good, when we got there they didnt tell us that they would take our car or what to do when it comes to parking, we had to ask, and we had to carry all of our bags to the room, same to downstairs and we order a kart becuase we had several bags and we never got it, so we carried all our bags and then it took them around 40 mins to find our car, i forgot my key and id inside of the room, and i couldnt go back in until i got in touch with my husband( he was in the room), and he iether had to come downstairs or i had to be escorted to the room by a guard!!!, seriously!!!!,

We stayed 2 nights while visiting family and touring San Antonio. Upon check-in we were informed that there is a nightly ;weeknights free happy hour from 5:30 - 7:30. This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The hotel is not one of the larger hotels in town, but its location is just right, overlooking the river walk. It was about an 8 block walk ;HOT IN JULY!! to the Alamo, which was a must see for us while in town. Many restaurants on the Riverwalk were within walking distance along from the hotel. The hotel has a very small pool on the roof with a very tiny hot tub next to it. It was a perfect place for us to stay while in town and on a long journey of many hotels on our long cross-country road trip. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking to enjoy San Antonio without too much glam, but plenty of class.

Check in was reasonably quick, even with the young lady being interrupted several times by the phone ringing. A manager came out and helped with the phones, and that sped things along. We had room 708 overlooking Market St. The room was a true suite with a bedroom separated from the full kitchen/living room. Between the bedroom and the living area was the bathroom, which consisted of a tub/shower and the toilet. The shower spray was very strong. The sink was outside the bathroom, and it had plenty of counter space. The room was very clean and quiet. There was a dance competition in town that weekend, so kids and teens were everywhere, but we never heard a peep. The room temperature was more like a 5 degree range than a steady temperature as the a/c tended to stay on longer than it should; when it finally stopped, the temperature would gradually rise several degrees until the a/c would come on again. A bit irritating, but we were adaptable once we figured it out. The breakfast buffet included hot and cold items and was good. There was a large dining area overlooking the river. The staff was excellent at keeping the food stocked and the tables clean, especially considering all the young people running around. The hotel is located on a quiet part of the riverwalk, but it is a short walk to the center of activity. In fact, the whole central part of the city is very walkable. The river taxies are a good option if your feet get tired. Checkout was quick and easy. The taxi we had arranged the night before was a no-show. (Don't know if it was the hotel or the cab company's fault.) The valet got us a taxi in 15 minutes.
