We found the Marriott New Orleans to be an excellent value Rooms were clean and quite. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent local to all ammenities of the French Quarter and the street cars are in front of the hotel. Car Valet service is excellent.

We had a great experience at the Marriott New Orleans. The staff was very curtious, especially the Bell Staff. The location was great, just steps away from Bourbon street, but far enough away from the noise. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. All of our requests were met with immediate attention and politeness. (Really the only requests we made was regular coffee for the in-room machine and a few more towels) The rooms were a little small but we really didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Very Happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again!

Location is right next to the French Quarter - easy walk but away from the hoopla when you want. Room decor inside is a bit dated - 1980's look - but clean and functional. This is a high rise hotel. Positive result of that is that you may have a great view from your room. We had a breathtaking view looking down at the boats moving along the Mississippi. Negitive is that you will need to deal with the programmed elevators. They do move relatively quickly but getting used to them takes some practice. To call the elevator, you type your destination floor on a keypad, it assisgns you an elevator and then you need to make sure you get on the right elevator!

The Marriott is very nice and is a great location on Canal Street. Service was not good though. The front desk did not greet us upon check in and then proceeded to issue us the wrong room type. Other than the bar staff and the door man, no one on staff ever greeted us or spoke to us. We approached the concierge for some sight seeing tips and she seemed like it was a complete chore to assist us. Not a very friendly hotel. Elevators are extremley slow; be prepared to wait a while for your elevator!
