12/27/2007Beautiful grounds, lovely rooms, incredible food. we had a wonderful weekend and felt incredibly pampered. i would come back again and again. loved it!

My husband and I chose to stay here for a romantic weekend. We paid extra for a gulf view room and requested a king sized bed when we made the reservation. We arrived at check-in time and were told that our room was not ready yet. We waited about a hour for them to prepare our room. When we got to our room it had double beds and no view. We called and complained and they made us wait an additional 45 minutes for a new room. The new room had a king bed, but still only had a partial view of the water from the balcony. We did not complain again because we did not want to wait another 45 mins. to switch rooms. Our room was also dirty and we waited 1 1/2 hours for soemone to come up and clean it. The following evening we went to the restaurant for dinner and my husband fouond a hair in his food. We were very disappointed and after speaking to quite a few other guests, they were disappointeds as well. One guest told us to stay at La Playa next time, which she said is so much nicer than the Ritz.

Fabulous hotel, with a staff who is focused upon making sure the guests are served. The property is beautiful, right on the Gulf Beach with white sand and all the services needed, umpbrellas and chairs on the beach, waiters to deliver cold drinks and snacks, the best of everything.
The pool and cabana's are wonderful, there is a family pool and an adult's only pool which is very nice to have that choice. again the chairs, umbrellas, waiters for cold drinks and snacks; everything to enjoy a day at the pool.
the hotel restaurants were excellent but a bit pricey--breakfast buffet $28 per person, nice once but not for 5 days in a row. The Grille room excellent but over $250 for a good meal. But there are good restaurants just a short distance away---Flemmings and some great Naples own places.
Everyone should have a week at this hotel, it is truely the best on the west coast of Florida. -

This plave was the best place i've ever been too. My husband and I went to the Ritz for our honeymoon then to the Bahamas. We regreted the Bahamas and wished we stayed at the Ritz. We've been married for 5 months and still talk about the great experience there.
