This was my first time at the Hilton in Emeryville, and unfortunately, it was a rather disappointing experience. Although we had a spectacular view overlooking the bay, it was not enough to counteract the sagging mattress, boulder-like rock hard pillows, lack of towel racks and ample towels in the bathroom, no closet (only a free-standing wardrobe cabinet which took up a tremendous amount of floor space), and the $5/car/night parking charge. In spite of the fact that the hotel website advertised "complimentary parking," when the other members of our party checked in the day prior to me, they were told of the parking charge. Naturally, I called and spoke with the front desk and told him that their own website incorrectly advertised complimentary parking and that was part of the reason why I chose this hotel, I was told to bring in "proof" that this is what the website said, and they would comp our parking. Although I printed out copies of the website and their online brochure and presented it when I checked in the following day, and even verified again the following day that our parking would be comp'd, when I checked out two days later, the charge was on the final bill. It was such a tremendous inconvenience, unpleasant experience and definitely not what I would have ever expected from a Hilton hotel, I will probably not stay at this particular hotel again.

Everybody was courteous and friendly. The room was very nice, beds were extremely comfortable, no aching shoulders.We had a very nice 4 nights there. I would recommend staying there to everyone. We feel a good nights sleep makes for a better trip. It was great, close to everything we wanted to do. We left ""No Service"" on doorknob, housekeeping left a note under the door offering service to 3pm as we were staying over. Very thoughtful.

I was not very pleased with my stay due to housekeeping coming into the room knocking as they're opening the door. The second experience I was in the bed and heard the key being used and the door opening without any warning. I yelled out that I was in the room. I was angry because it was between the hour of 8 and 9am on a Sunday and checkout is not until 11am. Sad to say I won't be staying there ever again!!!
