This is a small older hotel that is well maintained and clean. Across one street from the beach, across one street toward Diamondhead from the zoo. Our ocean front room had beautiful views of Diamonhead and the ocean. We could watch the sunset and the surfers. Great people watching from the balcony. The hotel is located just on the end of the strip of all the stores and shopping and easy walk to the mall and International Market. Staff was friendly and helpful though I think the concierge was new but there were plenty of others to assist. We didn't eat there but heard the food was good. Literally, ABC stores every block so plenty of places to buy snacks for the room. The room was a little small, small bath, two double beds and a HUGE plasma screen tv, two closets and an in room coffee maker. Bar on the second floor had live music which wafted into the room at night, but was not disturbing and they quit around midnight. We really enjoyed our stay. Traveling was my husband and I and our 23 year old daughter.

We stayed at the Park Shore for 12 days in Oct. 2009. The location was perfect. Right off the beach and walking distance to what we wanted to do, The staff were all very friendly and so helpful. Always a smile and asking how we were doing and if we needed anything. Our room was cleaned and we had no problems with it. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

My husband,myself and 2 daughters stayed at the Park Shore in June of 2009 and plan to go back soon. It was a relaxing, spotless,laid back hotel across the street from the beach. My husband is handicapped and they gave us an excellent room that acommodated all his needs. They have 2 awesome restaurants on the property which we enjoyed. Starbucks is right downtsairs too. You have 2 ABC stores on the property which really come in handy. The hotel staff was always helpful and courteous. I had booked the hotel mainly for location and the views and I wasn't disappointed on either. The park and zoo across the street were also a plus. To look out our window and see Diamondhead was a dream come true. I would say to anyone to stay at the Park Shore, it was a wonderful experience I will not soon forget.

It is a great location. The staff was curteous. The lobby looks great, but the hotel is in need of a massive renovation. The first room we were assigned smelled of mildew. We were quickly given another room. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. If I staye again the bed would have to be more comfortable and I would need an oceanview room.
