We checked in late and ate at Tahoe Joes steak house. The hotel was ezy to find and had parking close to the rooms. The rooms were large spacious and clean. They said they had new flooring put in the vanity and bathroom area. There were 5 espn channels thank goodness as the kids got to see the basketball games. The next morning we went for swim and tried out the deluxe breakfast. The breakfast best part the kids enjoyed were fresh waffles and bagels. See you next time were back up this way.

The front desk staff were great and made us feel like we were welcome at home. There were several restaurants to choose from we took the recommendation from the staff for chinese within walking distance. The pool and property looked clean. The rooms were big and comfortable. Overall it was enjoyable stay and would return back.

09/22/2008The rooms were nice with amenties coffemaker and minifridge. the moment highlight was the swimming pool for my son. included a morning breakfast loved the fresh belgium waffles.

Poor hotel condition, watch out for bugs

I assumed that a regional chain like ?America?s Best? would offer above-average value. I was mistaken. The morning after we had bed bug pieces between the sheets and on our persons. When I checked out I mentioned the bed bugs to the front desk staff. They seemed unconcerned. I can only assume they know they have a beg bug problem. Front desk staff also like to partake in the complimentary guest breakfast. I witnessed several staffers making waffles, toasting bagels, taking juice and coffee back to their desks. The breakfast area is a narrow hallway, off the main lobby. The lobby restrooms are a few feet away. The hotel lobby internet had not been functioning for months, based on the amount of dust I saw on its computer. The hotel does not have HBO. I also found an earlier AAA gues comment card, in our room, citing other shortcomings. My recommendation: Avoid this hotel or bring your own bug spray. MM
