The a/c in the room was filthy with dirt piled up on the air outlet. I asked 4 times (I stayed 4 nghts) that it be cleaned and it never was. Some of the front desk staff was exceptionally rude and the manager never contacted as promised. The corporate customer service said all of their hotels are independently owned and cannot be control by the corporate rules. To top it off, the manger wrote me a letter defending the hotel ! I travel every week but, if possible, will never again stay at a Choice Hotels brand hotel.

I don't get the other reviews. My room was very nice, beautifully furnished and the whole hotel was more upscale than I expected. It was more like a Courtyard or a Homewood Suites in quality. Keep in mind, the rooms are NOT really suites, no separate living room and bedroom and just a refridge/micro, no kitchenette. I didn't care about having a suite on this trip, often I do, and then I clarify with the front desk or via website pictures that there is a separate, doored off bedroom. The room was large, and as I said, very nicely furnished, very clean and well maintained. They have FREE, easy to access Wifi that worked very well. I was there a week so that was critical! My son slept on the fold out one night, no complaints. I picked this hotel as I was traveling with my dog and staying for a week. It is super for pet owners, all the employees made a fuss over my dog. Basically, they have a wing of the ground floor set up as a pet wing, so non-pet people, don't worry, you can get a pet free room and not have to worry about "yappers" next door. My dog is very small but I notice travelers with quite large dogs, in one case multiple dogs, so this is a great spot for any pet owner. The breakfast was good, though seating was tight. I would also say that the employees were all exceptional, very friendly and customer service professionals. If you are looking for shopping here, the Biltmore Mall looks like it is really going downhill. The area is nice though, I just think there are too many malls in Asheville

In my mind a suite is a combination of 2 or more rooms (not counting the bathroom) that involves a "living area" and "sleeping area" separated from each other, usually by a door. I got here and found two beds, an uncomfortable 6' sleeper sofa, one desk chair (not a lounge chair), desk and a small coffee table in a room only slightly larger than a usual standard room. I asked the clerk and was told that what I have is precisely a suite and all their "suites" are like that. So if you want a SUITE or you want something comfortable to sit in, you don't want Comfort Suites. I consider my self tolerant and will cope with most anything, but I will NOT stay here again.

This hotel is great! Hotel is fully remodeled and sleeps up to 5 in a room, making it cheaper for families of five to just buy one room. Every part of the hotel has been updated and it shows! The hotel also sells discounted tickets to Biltmore, which is only 5 miles away and that saved us more money, and finally the full free hot breakfast was not only delicious but is saved us money as well. Overall, this is one of my all time favorite places to stay, and I would recommend it as it is reasonably price and offers value to the extreme..
