I have been to London in the passed and stayed at the Millenium Gloucester hotel in Kenningston. Made of the mistake of wanting to try something different. Rooms at this Hilton were very small. My first room had some sort of leak from the bathroom and the carpet was soaking wet. Called down to get another room and was told I would have to go back down to registration. There was a 30 minute wait in line as they checked in a tour. Then they tried to charge me for a room up-grade that I didn't want and kept pushing the breakfast/room package. I don't eat breakfast and told them serveral times. They finally gave me an even smaller room that someone had smoked heavy in. Staff was not helpful with anything from directions to tickets to taxi's to the room. Bed squeeked everytime you moved and was really no more that a double cot. Tube station is about 4 blocks away, nothing else really in area, since it is residential. DON'T STAY HERE.

Located right on the Central Line, near Holland Park and the new, huge, Westfield mall at Sheperd's Bush, the London Kensington Hilton was perfect for my business trip. 20 minutes to Bank, 20 minutes to Paddington, great restaurants at Westfield, what more could I want? Large for London double with King bed, Hilton standard clean room. The hotel is a little worn, but not bad at all. Large lobby with nice bar/coffee shop and business amenities. Not as nice as the Paddington Hilton, but the price was right.

The hotel is small by "American" standards but it is perfect and clean. The staff were great and when we needed anything they were quick to accomodate. It is located near the tube, shopping, and good places to eat. I would highly reccomend that anyone travelling to London purchase an Oyster Card. The only downfall is that there is not free WIFI.

We recently stayed here for six nights. The good - The room was clean. Housekeeping did a great job each day. We had a room on the very end (2120) so it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Very close to Westfield Mall, one of Londons newest and largest malls. Easy walk and right at the Sheppard's Bush tube station. The not so good - Room was very small (probably fairly normal for London hotels.) No bath tub. Breakfast was not including in my reservation through Travelocity. Most rooms came with breakfast included. The cost of the breakfast buffet was very high . It is a good buffet, but not worth that price. While close to the tube station it was a fairly long ride to the attractions of central London. It is in a mostly residential area, so not a lot to do at night and not a great many restaurant options. Internet service is expensive.

The hotel was okay, just okay. The bathroom was not clean -- hair everywhere. The toilet would not flush unless I held down the float to fill the tank all the way up. And we were always hot. We had the air on full blast, but it would not get cool in there. Otherwise, it was great. The staff was wonderful and very helpful, especially the concierge and the Doorman. The food was very expensive and we wished they had complimentary coffee, at least. We really wish we had been able to stay somewhere with complimentary breakfast. That would really have been helpful with expenses. Most of the other hotels had that, but not ours. They would implement that into their packages.
