I've stayed at the PJ Hilton several times for business. At first, I stayed in the standard or deluxe ""guest"" rooms. Each time, the room was apacious and surface clean, but very old and tired. I would not walk on the carpet in bare feet. The guest rooms are in serious need of a renovation. When I asked the hotel manager their plans for such a remodel, he replied that they are always too full to accomodate any work. So I cringe to think what the place will be like in 5 years. Lately, I've been staying on the executive floor. It's a bit more, but stil reasonable. The lobby are and all the restuarants are very well appointed and maintained. And the food is great in each. I have never received a bad meal. There is also great variety, if like me, you eat in a most of the time. The other review refered to nearby shopping, but nothing is within walking distance. Expect to have to catch a cab. The service from the desk staff is a bit lacking. You need to aggressive or you'll stand there a long time waiting for someone to ask if they can help you. But once you do get their attention, they will take care of you fine.

We arrived for a family reunion-and chose this hotel because it was very convenient. We stayed at the club level and in a corner suite non-smoking room. The room had a slightly musty odor , but was clean, well appointed, and came with a coffee maker, supplies and a well stocked mini bar. The room had a large bathroom, with separate shower and tub, and a sitting area and master bedroom. We expected to have a fold out couch, but instead received a small bed delivered to our room for our children. The room had two TV's, but no DVD player. We had access to the club dining area, and a full breakfast was served in the morning, including a nice buffet, or we could order off the menu- offering a full array of cereals, fruit, toast pastries, latte's , tea, bottled water etc. In the evening, a small buffet was offered with a full complimentary bar all included in our room rate- this was a real convenience!. The view of the city was beautiful The pool was great, but would benefit from pool light. The gym was well equipped. The hotel is located next to many large shopping malls with upscale stores. We traveled with our children, and did not spend much time during the day in the hotel, we were out and about visiting with family and seeing the sites.
We did not eat at the hotel restaurants- so we can't review this item. The service at the hotel was excellent-everyone was courteous and did everything they could to provide an excellent vacation experience for us. We would turn to this hotel again.
