Our family was extremely satisfied with this hotel. We opted for the one bedroom suite, and had our boys sleep one on the sofabed and one on the requested rollaway. The suite was spacious and beautifully decorated. Since food on this island is very pricy (2 plain take-out pizzas cost us $54.00), the in-room amenities were indispensable. The fridge was large enough to stock water, milk, soda/juice, etc. The kitchenette also has very generous cabinet space for non-perishables and since the Fosters supermarket was walking distance, we stocked up on breakfast/lunch items and saved our $$$ for dinner! A couple of times we needed items brought to our room (rollaway bed, batteries for the TV remote, coffee) and the response was immediate. We were very impressed! We found the hotel to be very quiet and family-oriented, however it was at less than half capacity during our stay - don't know what it's like when full.

We traveled to Great Cayman in June after hearing great things from friends about all of the cool things to do and beautiful sites. We weren't disappointed. My husband and I and 2 children, 10 & 7 years loved Grand Cayman Beach Suites' spacious suite, nice pool and BEAUTIFUL beaches with gorgeous sunsets. The separate bedroom was fabulous so the kids could go to sleep in the main living area and we could stay up and watch tv/read in our private bedroom. The refrig. was great for breakfast in the room, as food was REALLY expensive ($70 lunch, $150 dinners). If you can find a vacation package that has Kids Eat Free, it is a HUGE savings. The grocery/alcohol store is a short walk away and is another way to save $$$$. Recommended activities: Glass bottom boat tour from Georgetown, Turtle Farm and STINGRAY CITY/snorkel trip (we used Red Sail, the tour company that is housed in our hotel)!! Consider buying the snorkel set in the Red Sail shop for $19US instead of renting for $15 for 24hours. The snorkelset is a high quality on and you get to take it home! Some good restaurants: Bamboo, Dexters, Hemingways, Wharfside (tarpin feeding at 9), Hard Rock Cafe & Copperhead Falls. The staff at the hotel restaurants and swim-up bar we great. Housekeeping was outstanding, with thorough cleaning and turn down service. At turn down, they checked and replaced used towels (twice daily!? WOW!) The Front desk help was okay, a little snippy. In all we were SUPER happy with our RELAXING and wonderful vacation. My 7 year old son said that he will return with his family some day:).

If you can get through Miami and American Airlines, Grand Cayman Is AWESOME! The hotel/resort is small so there was always a beach chair available and towels! The staff went out of there way to be helpful and always smiled. I would tell EVERYONE to go on the Stingray City adventure. I booked with Capt. Marvin's and it was totally rewarding. My family and I have been a lot of places and have done many types of "dolphin encounters" etc., but this can't be missed. Also, Boatswain Beach was very interesting. Be prepared to spend a little more for everything. Having a small kitchenette was great for breakfast and snack foods as well as alcohol! There is a grocery store and liquor store very close by. So shop before settling in!

Our one bedroom suite was extremely spacious and nice. service was excellent. parking is a slight problem, most of it across busy street. beach in front of hotel is great. complimentary beach chairs with awnings over each were plentiful. concierge service was helpful. meals are expensive all over the island. there is a small refrigerator and microwave in room. view of setting sun on our balcony was wonderful. service was similar to what you expect at a ritz or equivalent. red sail watersports onsite for many ocean activities. enjoyed our experience there. check in is 3, but they will hold your bags until that time. right in center of 7 mile beach. 5 or 6 boats are anchored in about 100 yds out front, mars view a little. bus stop out front $2.50 per person. rental car place next door. a plus for exploring other parts of island island one or two days.
