I was looking for a kid friendly hotel in Waikiki. My kids had not been on a vacation before, so I wanted something nice and easy for us. The hotel is on the beach, so going down to the pool and beach meant not having to lug a bunch of stuff all over. The staff were friendly and helpful. It seemed we had most our interactions with the housekeepers, valets, and pool attendent. Duke's Canoe Club resteraunt is here. We had a bunch of pineapple from the salad bar, and our waiter brought out a bowl of hot fudge. On the down side, the walls are thin, allowing ajoinging room noise in. And the elevators are slow. The beds are comfortable, but only two double and a pull out couch were available, no queens. But, overall, I do plan on bringing our family back to Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.

08/20/2009We've stayed at outrigger twice now and have loved it both times. very clean, lots to do. the staff was very helpful. we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

My sister and spent a week in April and it was a very nice hotel. We enjoyed the restaurants, all had good food, as did room service, try the creme brulee in a pineapple! The deli downstairs is great and near the pool. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean comfortable and we had a great view of the whole beach.We opted for the breakfast included with the room and it was wonderful. pretty much whatever you want. The location is also perfect for shopping. Anytime we booked a tour or excursion, they were right on time and very accommodating, I was surprised at how prompt everything was. No Island time when it comes to pleasing the guests. The best thing was the unlimited free phone calls to anywhere in the United States, I called Wisconsin every day. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel is a great place to stay. The location is perfect for the beach, dining, shopping and everything in between. The staff was courteous and friendly. The rooms had very nice decor and amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others without a doubt.

This hotel was in the center of everything! When we arrived, we were helped immediately and our bags were taken to our room. In 10 minutes tops we were checked in and making our way to our room. The room decor was fabulous and not gaudy whatsoever. An iron and hair dryer were available in our room, which helped so much in our packing. The safe in the room was also very useful when we bought expensive items. The room was neat and orderly every day and we really enjoyed the balcony. A coupon book was included when we booked the room and we used this frequently to try to save money. We tried 2 of the restaurants in our hotel, Duke's and Hula Grill and found them to be our favorites during the whole trip! Duke's was excellent for the breakfast buffet and we had dinner at Hula Grill twice. And of course having Seattle's Best right downstairs was great for a quick breakfast before a tour. Ultimately, the hotel here was worth the extra money. The beach was right outside along with surfing lessons and canoe rides. Being in the center of all the action helped us not even bother to use the bus or a taxi as well.
