We stay at this motel for 2 different nights. Both times in two differnt rooms, the air conditioner quit working. The motel is older and has a musky smell. The rooms are not very clean. I will not stay at this motel or any Quality Inn again.

I liked the hotel as it was in the center of the sites I wanted to see such as the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Sunset Crater, and Wupataki Monument. The staff were friendly, beds were comfy, and the breakfats not bad for free. The hotel was older but had a nice homey feel and loved the alien. I am not one who stays at a hotel to relax as I am out enjoying the sites so what I wanted it was good. When I was there they could not control the heat so it was a little hot in the room. The heating system I guess is centralized. The location was good as it was close to the freeway and to a variety of restaurants. My only compliant was the coffee downstairs was horrible, but I am from Seattle and so we are kind of coffee snobs anyway.

Hotel itself was fine. Nice & quiet, away from noises of trains. But two problems: (1) no elevator to get to second floor. A problem for seniors lugging bags upstairs, esp. at 6,900-ft. elevation; and (2) either the heater or air conditioner functions. In June it was the air conditioner. However, it gets cold at night (below 40 degrees) but was unable to heat up the room. So at night it felt ""cold."" Otherwise, great location & good service.
