I recently completed a 2 night stay at the Naples Grande Resort. Overall, the hotel is fantastic!! The room on the 16th floor was extremely spacious, had a large balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, was very clean and the air conditioning kept it nice and cool. The self parking was convenient with the caveat that you have to walk up one flight of stairs (no elevator) - if you have a lot of luggage, drop it off at the front entrance first. The golf course is about a 10 minute drive, but is well worth it. Unlike the majority of courses in Florida, it has a great layout (similar to the TPC Sawgrass). If you do not feel like paying the hotel premium for food, there are numerous other choices within a couple of minute drive. I would highly recommend the hotel for people that like to get away from it all, yet be close to everything they need if they so desire.

We booked a seven-night stay at the Naples Grande Beach Resort. Although billed as a beach property, the beach is approximately 1 mile away, and only accessible via tram, which is completely impractical if you are traveling with young children as we were. Our new & renovated bungalow was atrocious. It was teeming with bugs, ants & caterpillars, had electrical problems, lights that blinked on and off, none of the electrical outlets in the bathroom worked, and was generally dirty. The telephone beeped incessantly through the night and ultimately beeped loudly and continuously at 6am waking my entire family. Of the three pools, only one is available to families one is a small lap pool & one is adults only. The family pool was small & completely overcrowded. The staff was generally unhelpful, and the manager told me that it's Florida - we can't control the ants & caterpillars, especially in the bungalows. We checked out after one night because we felt that continuing our stay jeopardized our children's health. Avoid the Naples Grande. It is a Waldorf property in name only & the website is extremely misleading.

I read some reviews from other users and they were on the money. The hotel is very nice. The staff is very nice. It is not directly on the ocean but the hotel offers a golf cart service to the ocean. We never had to wait to long to be picked up by the golf carts. The rooms are very spacious. Self parking under the building was pretty easy to use and it is covered so if it is raining you don't get wet. 2 negatives but very minor. If you self park you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the hotel as there is no elevator from self park. Valet is an extra $18/day The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.

The Naples Grande is a beautiful getaway... My husband and I spent our 1st anniversary there. They upgraded us to a Signature Room overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Although they are not located right on the Gulf, it is close and still has a great view. It is a kid friendly hotel with a waterslide in the pool and an arcade with kids games, but we also felt it was appropriate for our anniversary as well. The service was great and we loved the fact that the room had a belcony. We will definitly be returning soon and recommend others to do the same!

My kids and I needed an end of the summer get away and didn't really want to go far. I chose this resort without any regrets and will most definately will return for the Thanksgiving holiday. They had an excellent kids program and not to mention the pool along w/the beach and service is to die for. Room service was great and the staff in this hotel makes this resort worth the money being spent. I wish, I had more time to experience the spa but maybe next trip! The only complaint would be the little extra daily fees they tack on during your stay(taxes, valet parking, etc).
