The carpets in the hallways were very dirty. The lobby had a nice lodge feel to it. The restaurant and bar had awsome food/drink and the service was outstanding in those areas. We stayed in room 2068 the first thing we noticed was how loud it was from the street traffic. We opened the curtains to find the view of a brickwall ! Not the view I had in mind. The first night I noticed that the hair dryer did not work and two of the lights in the room did not work. I called for someone to fix these and no one come to fix them. I asked another staff member about getting the hair dryer fixed and was told in a very angery way, "Thats not my department". We were there for 6 nights and the hair dryer nor the lights were ever fixed !

Let me start by saying that I'm not an overly picky traveller. As long as the hotel I am staying in is safe, clean, and has friendly staff; I'm happy. However, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Especially for the prices they are charging! When we arrived at the hotel from the airport, we were about 1/2 hour early for check-in. When I approached the counter I was rudely told to come back when they were ready. We sat in their lobby and waited with all of our luggage in tow. About 40 minutes later there was still no announcement that they were now checking in. I went back to the desk to finally check in and again we were brushed off in a hurry. We finally got to our room, at a first glance everything looks fine. However, when you take a closer look you will notice the cobwebs on the ceilings, drapes, and the dirty windows. My mom then went to take a shower after a long (almost 10 hrs) trip, and when she turned on the water it was brown! We had to let it run for about 5 minutes before it cleared. I have travelled quite a bit over the years and I must say that I was highly disappointed at the experience that we had at the Millenium Hotel in Anchorage. I will not be staying there again, and will not recommend it to anyone I know.

Let me start by saying that I'm not an overly picky traveller. As long as the hotel I am staying in is safe, clean, and has friendly staff; I'm happy. The hotel staff was very disorganized. We reserved 2 rooms via travelocity and the hotel for 5 hours refused to provide the 2nd room claiming no record. After an extended hassle and showing them them the reservation the 2nd couple was given a room. Then they charged us for the 2nd room (actually they charged for the more expensive room), but it had been paid for by the travel agency. Still trying to sort that out. Bottom line - would not deal with again. PS: Breakfast in restaurant was excellent, albeit very slow to come.

We stayed there Christmas Eve as we were up visiting family for Christmas. For a non smoking hotel, our room smelled of stale smoke. When we entered the room, both the light and television were on. The bedspread looked like someone had sat on it to watch TV. Perhaps an employee taking a break? I don't know. Staff was pleasant enough and offered to switch rooms for us after I called to let them know the room spelled of smoke. I did not mention anything about the TV and light being on to them. Otherwise the room was decent enough but a little higher priced than other hotels of similar quality in the area.
