Makati Shangri-La is easily the most wonderful hotel I have ever visited. Accomodations are exquisite - clean, well-maintained, modern and spacious. The staff is absolutely incredible - every person whom we encountered was gracious, helpful, polite and well-informed. On one occasion, we needed a maintenance person because my fiancee had inadvertently popped a circuit-breaker while connecting my iPod to a transformer. The staff person responded within two minutes, corrected the situation and was gone. I made a special point to converse with the manager-on-duty and relayed to her my extreme pleasure during my six-day stay. Restaurants, pool, lobby lounge and fitness center are all impeccably kept and staffed with courteous, genuine and knowledgeable personnel. Even the elevator attendants are a pleasure to see several times a day! Beautiful, live music in the lobby lounge added to the pleasure! I highly recommend this property and will visit other Shangri-La hotels as my schedule permits. I eagerly await the opening of the Miami unit in 2010.

This is my first trip to Manila and i stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. My experience were WOW!!! The staff are friendly and the service was excellant. the room was nice and spaces and all the necessities like shopping, business and F&B is all within walking distance. You will never go wrong if you book this hotel for your stay or your friends and family.

my husband and i stayed for only 2 nights... the staff were all friendly... the location is every shopaholic's dream come true (high end european designer boutiques such as Gucci, LV, and Prada are only a block away!)... ""Circles"" a buffet within the facility had excellent food (breakfast buffet is free both days we were there!)... malls, restaurants (including TGIF and Hard Rock Cafe), and movie theaters are located only a block away..overall, highly recommended!!!

From steping into the hotel, the staff were very friendly and from the sight of the fantastic surroundings, you knew that this experince will be one that you will remember. Rooms are very comfortable and luxurious with various amenities. If you love shopping the hotel is in a perfect location as it is only a few feet from the malls. Definitely recommended to everyone who visits the lovely island of the philippines.
