Not worth the money. We paid over $* per night with taxes. We stayed 4 nights because of a wedding. If we hadn't had family in this hotel we would have moved after 1 night. The hotel claims it has been updated and it looks like the bathrooms were updated. There was a nice LCD TV in the room. There wasn't a fan in the Bathroom and everytime you got out of the shower there was steam on all the mirrors and it was a pain getting the steam out of the room. We coulldn't just leave the bathroom door open because we had our daughter staying with us. There were 3 elevators buy only 1 worked all the time, 1 sometimes worked and 1 was under repair the enitire time. The elevators were filty, it looked like nobody had cleaned or vacuumed them in months. Don't eat at the hotel resturant. It is 2-3 times as expensive as any resturant near by and the service was really bad. We couldn't even get a second cup of coffee. The people at the front desk were nice, but even the front desk looked like it was a place for bell hops - which weren't available. The coffee shop was the best part of the trip, but it was only open part of the day. There is a bar, but drinks were very week and expensive. The internet in our rooms never did work and it cost $10 per day (I got credit after asking for my money back). I think Motel 8 would have been better. After my return they sent me an offer to allow me to stay for less than $100. I would stay for $45 - Like I said this is not an upscale hotel.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting relatives in Albuquerque. We were very pleasantly surprised and had a great stay at the hotel. The room was nice and we enjoyed the restaurant near the lobby and had some great Mexican food there. The only problem during our visit was the elevator quit and I was in a hurry to get to a wedding with people waiting in the car, and ended up having to take the stairs - it was in May and the stairwell was quite hot. So I was pretty sweated out by the time I got out to the car. Other than that, we had no complaints.

We stayed here after a 12 hour drive (on our way to Vegas) and our room was fabulous, staff was attentive and it appears that the renovations are nearing completion. Our room was wonderful, nice big LG tv, wonderful lounge chair, comfy bed and luxury bedding. We would stay here again if we are in that area. We didn't get out (ate at the Chii's in the parking lot) but from the drive in we could see tons of great shopping and restruants nearby.

I have traveled 2 weeks out of every month for the last 3 years, and this the ONLY time i have ever checked in and out of a hotel in the same day. Thank god for the travel agency's guarantee, because this place was absolutely uninhabitable. it is under HEAVY construction (only one small area open), the staff (including the security guard that i asked where the door was, as the entire front of the hotel is closed off) is incredibly rude, the rooms are dingy and dirty enough that i literally did not want to sleep in the bed, pitifully old and amenity free (the tv in my king bed suite was 10 inches), and most of all HORRIBLY OVERPRICED.
if i had been staying at a chain quality motel for 40 or 50 bucks a night this would have been expected and acceptable - but as i was hiding my electronics around the room i realized that there was no reason i should be paying this much money for a room that is dirty, depressing and unsafe. even when i'm travelling for work i like to enjoy or relax in a hotel room. that was just not possible here.
i would never, ever stay at this hotel again, and would not put up a stranger or my least favorite relative in this roachtrap. if you're not worried about a nice room, just save yourself half the money and stay in a motel 6 or the hotel blue downtown. it will no doubt be cleaner.
or do what i did, and spend the extra 20 bucks and check into the marriott right down the street on luisiana - the difference was night and day! -

I had a suite, it was large, clean and confortable. From the moment I walked in the door the staff made me feel at home. The hotel's location was great, easy access to to public trans, shopping and eating.
My trip was for business but I stayed a few extra days for the balloon fest. All the info I needed was provided for by the staff. They were well trained and very helpful.
The Sheraton ABQ is a GREAT value.
