IT WAS MORNING WHEN WE ARRIVED FROM OUR CRUISE SHIP. MY HUSBAND HAD BECOME ILL AND DESPARATELY NEEDED TO LIE DOWN. THERE WAS ONLY ONE ROOM READY AND THEY GAVE IT TO US! WE REALLY APPRECIATED THEIR COMPASSION. MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO REST AND RECOVER SO WE COULD ENJOY THE SHORT TIME WE HAD IN AUCKLAND. WE WERE ABLE TO WALK TO WONDERFUL SHOPPING, RESTAURANTS, AND ACTIVITIES.

The hotel was very nice, clean spacious rooms, and a mall in the basement. Great location for seeing CBD and waterfront. Less than 10 min walk to the ferry. Parking in the hotel was pricy but to be expected in a downtown locaiton. Overall, exactly what I would expect from a Crown Plaza anywhere else.
