Overall we enjoyed our stay at The Radisson. My wife and I stayed here for our first anniversary trip and liked the fact that we were so close to alot of the stuff we wanted to see in San Francisco. Transportation waseasy to find. Each night of our stay we would finish our day by sitting by the fire in the courtyard, very relaxing.

Good location. We could walk to all the places we wanted to see and the tour companies are located within a few blocks. Rental car companies are also located a couple of blocks away. If you rent a car and have to park it overnight at the hotel, it will cost you $40.00 per night, but that is pretty common all over San Francisco. Parking is not abundant anywhere. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was clean. There is an IHOP located on the same block which made for great breakfasts each day! Noise level was very low. Very sufficient for a vacation! We would stay there again without hesitation.

2 things that was annoying , there was only 1 chair in the room, so somebody had to sit on the bed. and the street noise was extreem. I had to go buy earplugs to sleep The location was right in the heart of the waterfront activities and I was glad I didn't rent a car, as the public transit was very good for any excursions we went on.

disappointing

The hotel was a disappointment to us. The first thing that happened was that the television did not work. They fixed that - bad plug. Then the toilet wouldn't stop running - night and day it kept running. We mentioned it to at least 4 different people. They would stop the running, but as soon as we flushed the toilet it would start again - it was never fixed - just scotch taped! Finally, my husband fixed it. The hotel was not the cleanest. After taking a shower we would find writing on the mirror. It was never cleaned! The hotel was well located, but the patio was in not in the best of condition - planters were falling apart. We have stayed at many other Radisson's and enjoyed them, but this one was a disappointment.

Best part of the hotel is the location - one block from the bay and the Franciscan restaurant. Fishermen's Grotto is just 2 blocks away. I was able to upgrade my room to a bay view for $*. Hotel is clean and my king room was spacious. Negatives are parking $*/day and the elevators and room access. My room was at the far end and the 2 elevators are located in the middle section. I also did not enjoy the Sleep Number bed - wasn't able to get a comfortable setting. Too soft the first night, too hard the second. The doors to the hotel from the parking area are not kept locked which puts security in question.
