I must say that I was very satisfied with my stay here. I spent two nights here during 4th of July weekend while I hiked in Yosemite. The room was clean, the pool was nice, and much to my surprise there was a microwave, refridgerator, and somewhat large television. I highly recommend this Travelodge to anyone who is looking for a clean and comfortable room that doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it.

What was good: Inexpensive, room was quiet, room heater works well. Not so good: 1st thing I noticed when I opened the door was a 4 inch hole in the middle of the bed cover. Not a great impression. Took about 10 minutes to wake up the desk clerk who was sleeping in the back office (at 4:00 PM). The ceiling light/fan fixture would constantly blink due to a loose lamp socket. The metal strike plate on the door jamb was missing, the only thing keeping the door locked was the wood door jamb. Could't get an outside line on the phone to make a call, and I discovered that if I wasn't careful, the bathroom sink faucet would flood the vanity counter top. Not really as bad as it sounds, just a lot a little things that should be addressed by the owners.

This is a really great location to stay while visiting the Merced area. The hotel is located away from the freeway, so it is really nice and quiet. There is ample parking and it is really easy for both larger and small vehicles to park. The room was very nice and it had a nice little kitchenette. The room had a fridge, microwave, sink and an area to store food. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this location and I would absolutely stay here again.

Although this is an ""older"" hotel, I found it very clean and friendly. The front desk was extremely helpful, and they had muffins and coffee available early morning. It was perfect for families or individuals who need a good clean place to stay. It was a little off the ""motel"" route, but that was just fine.
