I've stayed at this motel several times, most recently last weekend, and I've always found that it provides good, basic accomodations for the price. The rooms are definitely a little run-down - water spots on the ceiling tiles, gouged woodwork, etc. - but for the price I feel this is reasonable. I don't feel like I'm staying in a "motel no-tell" with rooms by the hour and bulletproof glass in the lobby, which is easily where you can wind up if you want a hotel in the city. Most importantly, the rooms are clean and don't reek of smoke (or something worse) - on the one occasion where I felt the room was not "up to my standards," I told the front desk staff and they moved me immediately to one that was just fine. In fact, I have to say that the staff at Travelodge Lakewood has been as polite and friendly as that of any vacationer's high-end resort chain. Ultimately, though, this is just a motel for business travellers or adults on a budget, and when judged by that standard, I think it's a solid value.

We stayed for 2 days and it was the worst hotel I have ever come across. Large spiders draped all over windows, mold on ceiling tiles. We had to ask for toilet paper as they would not change it when they supposedly cleaned the room. We found a blood stained cloth behind the TV. The door did not seal well leaving a gap for bugs to get into the room. The breakfast had 2 types of cereal and not much else. The old saying you get what you pay for applies here.. I will never stay here again and do not recommend anyone else stay at this dump. Horrible time.

Hotel was very clean and in a nice suburb of cleveland. Very close to train station for going into Cleveland. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Staff is very helpful and friendly. you cant beat their prices.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave me a sheet of paper with driving directions to all of the major sites in the Cleveland area. That was a big help. Plus the hotel was near downtown Cleveland and getting there took about 5 minutes. The neighborhood around the hotel seemed nice but getting there from I-90, you have to drive through some seedy areas, but I never felt unsafe.

Great for a short trip where your not spending much time at the hotel. It wasn't the nicest place I've ever stayed at, but it was clean and felt like a safe area. The beds were comfy very nice fluffy pillows, they weren't very big rooms but they were efficient. It was really easy to get to downtown and Whiskey Island. We liked that there was a resturant that will deliver food until 3am. If you and a friend just need a place to sleep this is it! If you need to let the kids play or wanna hang out at the hotel this is not what your looking for!!
