My father and I stayed here Sept 11-16th, 2009. Excellent location, across from Ritz-Carlton, on the high-class end of Nanjing Rd. Probably no better shopping in Asia. Great restaurant choices in the vacinity, but don't miss the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at the hotel. Very accommodating staff with the many English speakers. Need something? Just ask. Five minute walk to subway.

I have stayed at JC Mandarin in June 2007 and June 2008. I have already booked my June 2009 visit. The hotel is centrally located on Nanjing Road. Hotel is very clean and the staff are very courteous and well dressed and make you very welcome. The rooms are very clean and modern. Extras include bath robes, closets, and marble vanities. Room service is provided daily and the linen is excellent. A view of the famous Nanjing Road is also very rewarding. Transportation is quickly provided and I felt very safe at all times

I have stayed at JC Mandarin in June 2007 and June 2008. I have already booked my June 2009 visit. The hotel is centrally located on Nanjing Road. Hotel is very clean and the staff are very courteous and well dressed and make you very welcome. The rooms are very clean and modern. Extras include bath robes, closets, and marble vanities. Giving Shanghai JC Mandarin Hotel the rate of a 5 star hotel is very unfair, i think there must be an exception for 55 stars for such hotels and i believe that only the Shanghai JC Mandarin Hotel will be rated so.
