My mother and I stayed here for three days and it was great. Comfortable beds, clean room, good breakfast, fantastic pool, COLD air conditioner, very friendly staff. Great location as it is close to great places to eat and shop. The beach and casinos are just a short drive away. My only complaint was that the ice machine of the second floor, where we were staying, did not work. During our stay this hotel had a small fire on floor 2. The alarm sounded and by the time we were in the hallway a memeber of staff informed us that the fire had been put out. The fire dept. and police arrived and inspected everything to make sure it was okay. The smoke quickly cleared and everything returned to normal very quickly. The staff was very informative and did not panic.

My mom and I took a few days from the real world. I was looking for a hotel that wasn't by the beach because I felt they may have been crowded. Well, I made the right choice by choosing this hotel. The staff is friendly and if you request towels within minutes you have them. The swimming pool was being maintenanced while we were there but it was great to be in the whirlpool. The location is great because you're just miles away from it all (shopping and beaches especially). There is a great shopping center around the hotel that includes Wal-Mart, Ruby Tuesday's, Outback, Fashion Bug, Anna's Linens, and Kirkland's just to name a few. Staying at this hotel gave us a chance to see all Biloxi and Gulfport had to offer. The hotel's breakfast offered eggs, cereal and waffles and this just starts the list. This was an awesome experience. I will definitely be visiting again.

I have all good things to say about the hotel and it's staff. The room was superb,clean and refreshing. The breakfast bar was exactly how they had described it. I absolutely enjoyed my stay and wish that I had more time to visit. I would reccommend to anyone that this is the best place to be. It was convient to other business in the immediate area. The only thing that I would suggest, is that there would some other source to keep the area where the jacuzzi is dry. With the kids in and out, that I am sure to be a task. The hotel was clean, the staff was excellent and the location was outstanding. Though we spent the day at the nearby beach (10 minutes away) the welcome we received at check was unbelievable. The smell of chocolate cookies filled the lobby, fresh baked, free to the guests. As i went up to the room I noticed the whirlpool and it called my name, we will get acquainted later I answered. The pool was outside about 100 feet away clean and also inviting. There are numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance. This was well worth the expense and drive to experience.

My wife and I stayed at the Wingate and found it clean, well staffed and comfortable. From our 3pm check in on 4/25 to check out on 4/26 just top notch for the price. fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby at 3pm. Hot continental breakfast from 6am to 10am. The whirlpool was clean warm and well maintained. The pool was also in great shape. The staff took care of us. We are scheduling another stay in May.
