Excellent location and comfortable stay near the beach. Very friendly staff who happily accommodated our room change twice. Booking the tours through their Tour agent was piece of cake, although their rates are slightly higher than if you directly book these. Try to have your lunch and dinner outside the hotel for authentic Puerto Rican food. Definitely, visit restaurant La Parilla on Rt 3 - awesome; ask for seating in the back. Hotel staff can provide you directions to this place. Resort has many activities available; did not get enough time to use all. I'll anytime recommend this resort.

The property was very nice. Right on the beach. The only problem is that the beach closed a 5pm because of turtles. The food was expensive and not good at all. Also, everywhere we went, someone was bugging us about going to a timeshare presentation. Even while getting towels at the pool!!!! Annoying! The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very pleasant and accomodating.

This was my second stay at the Rio Mar Wyndham Hotel and this is a great hotel. The service is outstanding, everyone is very friendly, and if you love the beach this is the place for you. Unlike so many other resorts on PR this hotel has a fantastic beach front that goes for miles. They have 2 pools separating the kids from the adults and their location makes them incredibly accessible to the rainforest, local food, and San Juan (via rental car). We ate off site because the downside to any resort is cost of food and drink but with a rental car you can find great local food minutes away. The rooms were very clean and well maintained although we did have a bit of a problem with our water pressure from time to time. Everyone at the hotel is very accomodating. I would stay here again.

I booked a weekend getaway for my husband and I. My husband turned 30 that weekend and I wanted to take him somewhere special, not to mention I am 5 months pregnant and we were not going to get another chance at a nice vacation for a while. We arrived at the hotel after a disatrous flight only to learn that the Rio Mar Resort had given away the room we reserved and paid for. In the wee hours of the morning, they forced us to stay at another hotel 20 minutes away. They had no reason or excuse for the oversight and offered nothing in return. So if you are thinking of booking this hotel, please note that you might not have a room at all. GOOD LUCK!!!! I do however recommend the Gran Melia Resort. They were exceptional!!!!

nce beautiful hotel . but nothing to do for kids.. the staff is very layed back . which puerto rico everything is layed back .. coming from a puertorican .l they even charge for parking for your rental vehicle.. but the locals can gamble and NO fee for parking. that i didnt like.. but the griunds are beautiful .. they need a swim up bar and more bars around the hotel.. the hotel staff needs to be more active .. nothing like nyc ,, so be prepare to wait and have a lot of patience....
