This is a beautiful hotel! we just got home tonight and thought I would write a review on it. Our rooms overlooked the ocean and they were very clean and had a beautiful view. we were right below the presidential suite. The staff was very helpful and always smiling. House keeping gets a 5* they were the best and came to our room twice daily replacing towels, picking up and turning down our beds for the night.. could not ask for better! We ate their a few times but the steak and chicken buffet last night was a huge hit! We had my mom with me and it is not the best hotel for people that have knee problems or handicaps. It is not easy to get around, but we did find if we went to the 3rd floor and walked to the far elevator instead of climbing the hill that was much better. They had only one wheelchair and the rubber was completely off the wheels. We rented a car and drove back and forth from town to town. that is the best way to go. don't take out the insurance! If we go back we will stay closer to town where there is a lot of activiy and the children can swim at the beach. The beach was off limits and the waves were huge. They could not swim in the water because the current was so strong. Hope this helps!

This property was everything I expected and possibly more. The views are spectacular -- every room in the West Tower faces the water. We saw whales frolicing every day(late December) We had a Royal Beach Club room that included breakfast (standard buffet offerings, tasty but nothing special, good fresh fruit) and evening cocktails that the servers were not stingy with. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious. The pools are just for playing with one reserved for adults with a swim-up bar. Jacuzzi did not work well and not very hot. One drawback might be that the resort is spread out and on a hill so your legs get a workout from Lobby to beach and rooms. Restaurants are OK; pool and beach-side service very good. Fitness Center would be better if open to outside and a stretching area. Staff very friendly and aimed to please even during busy holiday week. Overall expensive but ""worth"" it -- very relaxing.

Over priced restaurants!! Almost $5 for can of coke. Not enough dining options, goes from too expensive to crazy expensive. $10 watered down margarita. Not a user friendly hotel, difficult to get around, stairs and hills everywhere. Adult pool very dirty. You could see the filth in the water. Very nice views of ocean but not much else.
