This was not the hotel of the pictures. The rooms were very small, the hotel was noisy and the beds were like rocks! They could not find our reservation but found us space when we provided a copy of the reservation. The staff seemed very unhappy we were there. The breakfast buffet was 27 Euros or $34 dollars. Really! Not worth it. I would not chose to stay here again - there must be better places in Brussels.

The overall stay was good due to the great staff as well as location and breakfast. I arrived before 9 am, having taken an overnight flight. I was able to check-in with ease. I was initially given a room with a roll-away spare bed, in addition to the regular bed. 5 minutes later, I was moved down the hall due to the hotel's mistake. The room was good but the lighting was rather dim due to 4 light bulbs out in the bathroom and elsewhere. I brought this to the hotel's attention and it was duly fixed. While a non-smoking room, I did smell smoke coming in via the ventilation system. I'm not sure how you can fix that.

The staff were very friendly and responded to my concerns whenever raised. I was loaned an umbrella as it was rainy and the complimentary city bus tour pass was nice and appreciated. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent. The bed was wonderful and the bathroom more than sufficient. Check-out was easy.
