My husband and I just got back from the Westin after staying the week of October 11th. We both thought the hotel was beautiful including the pool and beach area. We did not go in the pool even though it looked great because we loved the beach! The westin is at one end of the high rise area that is nice and quiet. We had breakfast included with our room price daily. The breakfast was so good. They had everything you can think of including omlettes and waffles cooked to order. The westin is still undergoing some renovation which while we were there was only exterior painting that did not interfere with anyone. I did read some negative comments before I left but I don"t know why we had a great time and would stay there again.

My wife and I visited the Westin together for the first time this year. The hotel is very clean and the service is outstanding. What stuck out, was the beach itself. We have been to Hawaii, many places like Jamaica, St Thomas and Italy. The beach setting is top notch. Calm ocean waves and the ability relax was what we were looking for, and we got it. We checked out many of the other hotel beach settings, and we both agreed that we had the best beach frontage on the strip. The restaurant are worth trying too. Our favorite was the Italian restaurant. The hotel is positioned so each room has its own balcony and view of the ocean. We would definately go back!

I just got back from the Westin in Aruba.There are a few things to watch out for and if you don't have the chutzpa to say something, you'll wind up getting screwed. I paid for an all-inclusive ocean view king bed suite. The clerk said he had a better room with two queens, so we took it. Got to the room, it was very small. No way a suite. I went down and told him there's no way that is what I paid for. He said I just got a normal room. I showed him the confirmation, and he tried to put me in an Islandview suite, I told him I wasn't trying to be a pain but I was paying over $* a night and I really want what I paid for. Finally he tells me he's taking me to my new room. He winded up putting me in the Presidential Suite and then told me the other suites that I ordered were full, and the system made a mistake. The suite I got, was unreal. The hotel clerk really went above to fix the problem! Just beware if you don't think you got what you paid for, SAY SOMETHING! Going to check out there were food and drink charges over $* on my bill. I had all-inclusive so I said something. They removed the charges. Again, if you don't pay attention, it appears they just try to slip these whammies in on you. Food was ok. I'd probably eat off resort next time. Breakfast buffet took half hour to get seated, half hour to get an omelette. Tons of stuff to do too! Jet skiing is 10 mins away!

We went to the Westin Aruba for my husband's 30th birthday and were treated like royalty. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the doormen to the bellhops to the concierge. They sent up a complimentary bottle of wine for my husband's birthday, recommended excellent restaurants in the area (even made reservations and arranged cab rides for us), and were prompt with any requests from housekeeping or room service. The pool area was clean and kid-friendly, and there was even a playground on site for our 4 year old to enjoy. The gym was one of the most impressive hotel gyms I have seen and the spa was spectacular. The only complaints I would have about this hotel was that the beds were a little hard and the restaurants were overpriced. Next time we will be doing the all-inclusive option to save a little cash!
