First, they have a "Hospitality Promise" claiming that if anything goes wrong that they will make it right. They need a disclaimer - does NOT apply if you use a "3rd party vendor" like travel on line First, I had reserved a King, when we got there it was a room with 2 Queens. They wouldn't fix it because we used "a 3rd party vendor". Sleep number beds a re NOT comfortable. My husband and I slept in the 2 seperate beds because we tossed and turned so much! We asked if we could get a refund on our 2nd night and they said "no, because we used a 3rd party vendor......" Then the airconditioner is so loud and kicks on and off like every 3 minutes. I mean it is louder than those cheap units you find in lower priced hotels. You won't believe it. Bring ear plugs! You can't open your window to keep the room cool because they don't put screens on the windows. If you eat breakfast in the restaurant, order off of the menu. Don't get the buffett. They automatically charge you a tip, and ALSO another fee of almost * on top of the breakfast for you to get your own food and coffee. You get either over cooked or runny eggs (depends on when they refill the pan) greasy limp bacon, burned potatoes and make your own toast. The lounge was nice but ends up being a holding room for the waiting guests to get into the restaurant so it gets hard to get good service in there. The hotel looks nice and the room was really nice and clean, but if you are looking for a place to relax, get a good nice sleep and have good service - this isn't it.

We can't say enough good things about the Radisson. They were very accommodating when we asked to change our room the first night (noise from a nearby elevator). And then on Saturday, rain prevented a family picnic at the park after our granddaughter's high school graduation. The Radisson made a room available to us, no charge. And it's a lovely place centrally located. We will definitely stay there when we visit Flagstaff again.

We paid a modest increase for a ""sleep number"" bed which is nothing more than an air mattress. They should discount rooms with these, not charge extra. The hotel is in the newer part pf town and looks new on the outside but the room could definitely use a remodel. The Woodlands cafe was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. Flagstaff has always been a difficult place to find a decent room at any price and my stay just reaffirms this. Our room had 2 queens even though I requested a king and the view was of the roof and the false front over the hotel entry. I don't know where I would stay if I return to Flag but it won't be here.

I booked at Radisson Woodlands at the last minute, after deciding to visit Flagstaff on a whim. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and there was a complimentary bottle of water in the room, quite important in the dry environment. The restaurant was excelent for what it was (not a fine dining establishment, but better than some places I've been recently that claim to be). I ate in the sushi restaurant once, the preparation and service were well done, but some of the fish was so-so (particularly the shiro maguro). My only complaints about this hotel was that the air conditioning was a bit on the loud side, and housekeeping did not make it to my room on a day when I got a late start. If I find myself back in Flagstaff, this will definately be my first choice of hotel.
