I booked this place online because the photos that were provided showed that they were a very updated place to stay. Was going to go with another place to book for a * dolllars more but instead i went with Hill Country Inn because it looked as good as the other place. I got there and from the outside it had an old style setting but then when i opened the door to my room it was not what the pictures showed. They were not what i expected. I am deeply dissapointed with the information provided from Hill Country Inn about the room information.

When we got there the employees were very friendly. I thought I was going to enjoy our stay. When we made it to our room we discovered there were ants all in the room. I called the front desk and she sent someone to spray. Then we realized that the a/c was not working. They came and replaced it with one that was in another room, but left water all on the floor and did not bother cleaning it. We left to go eat supper to come back and realize that there were still ants in the room. I called the front desk and asked for another room. She told me that there was not any other rooms avalible. I explained to her that I would not stay in a room with ants expecially with my children. She told me that she had a room that needed to be cleaned and it would take 30 minutes to clean it. I said that would be fine. About 10 minutes later she called back to the room and said that room was not in any shape to be cleaned in 30 minutes and that there was not any other rooms til the next day. I told her that was not going to work because I would not stay in a room with ants. She then told me she could move me to another room for the night, but we would have to move to another room the next day. I do not feel that I should have to keep moving a family of 4 around so much when I had so many problems with the room they gave me. I finally had to check out of the room and go find another hotel at 9:30PM for 3 nights of our vacation.

The Hill Country Inn was different from other hotels and motels. The staff were kind and helpful. The Inn provided us with a calender on the events they have such as face painting, complimentary snacks, drinks & etc. We did not stay in one of the suites but we were able to see them and boy are they luxury. Our room was cool, it gave us the feelling that we were in the country away from the city eventhough there was construction right outside, however no noise was heard, a good thing. I liked the idea that the Inn had a living room area with a T.V. and one in the bedroom area. However, the bathroom was small. The bathroom sink/ kitchen/ hall is between the living & bedroom, a thight sqeeze. It was a suprised that the Inn had washers & dyers, which I did used. My boys enjoyed the pool. Their complimentary breakfast was alright, but better than donuts, juice & coffee only. My family & I also noticed the Inn care about the enviroment and for us that is a two thumbs up. The Hill Country Inn is a place where my family & I will stay again.

We visit San Antonio frequently and have family in SA, we have found a nice little get a way from always staying at a relatives house. It was nice to be able to visit with family and then come back to the Hill Country Inn and Suites for a relaxing evening. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We called up the office when we arrived because the AC was not working properly and they responded quickly even called us to make sure that everything else was to our satisfaction. Breakfast was good and the swimming pool area looked so relaxing. Next time we will make sure we get to enjoy the pool.. The beds were a little harder than we are use to but then again when we travel we sometimes end up on an air mattress on in sleeping bags on the floor. We will be staying here again and will recommend this place.

The kids ooed and awed over the little villa atmosphere, and were beyond excited that the exceptional lit up playground was just a few feet from our room. My husband and I liked the over all setup of the room, and enjoyed our private porch each night as the kids played on the playground. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly.The pool was anywhere from 1 foot to 4' deep. Each night you could see security making his rounds, and they have a parking security golf cart. The only drawbacks for us was the beds were VERY firm, and like most hotels, the parking was ;fend for yourself;. Just a short drive from Sea World, and the office has and area map if you need one.
