I booked our room at this particular hotel because it was a Holiday Inn, which I assumed would guarantee a pleasant and satisfactory stay. There were two reviews on the Travelocity site for it and they were both positive. I thought that would be sufficient. I could not have been more wrong. I have stayed at Holiday Inns all around the USA and found them to be consistently pleasant, clean, friendly, convenient and comfortable. The best I can say about this one was that it was indeed clean. The room we stayed in was uncomfortable, too small to be used as a double, cramped and with a sloping ceiling that caused us both to bump our heads on several occasions. The bathroom linens were not sufficiently provided and when I spoke to the desk clerk she was not at all helpful about resolving the problem. She just said sometimes the linen delivery was delayed. But for the 3 nights we stayed there this situation was never altered. The internet access was expensive (10 Euros for an hour's time which had to be used within a 24 hour period while in many places now it is free) and so slow that my husband could not download the materials he was supposed to read for his business meetings. There was no breakfast included, but if you wanted to pay 18 Euros (about $30) a person, you could eat in their restaurant. It was cheaper to go across the street to the little coffee shop and for about $10 get a European style breakfast of coffee and fresh bread or rolls. All in all I am disappointed in this experience, I expected a higher quality from Holiday Inn. I would never return nor recommend it to anyone, esp. not for business travel.

This Holiday Inn was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and I would highly recommend it. The only problem is that wireless is only offered in your room for a small fee, not for free. Also, breakfast was very costly to add- almost $15 USD a person! Even though the location of the hotel is about 30 mins from the city center, it was easy to find (after asking multiple times for directions). Remember to take train S5 to the stop after Unterhaching when leaving Munich. When you get off the train, the Holiday Inn has the directions marked on a sign and signs constantly letting you know you're going the right way on the 8-min walk.

  • Excellent hotel for any type of traveler.

I loved this hotel and especially our room. We upgraded to a suite and it was well worth the extra $* a night. Lots of space with two levels, a small kitchen area, plenty of closet space, and a huge bathroom. It was situated in a residential area just outside Munich (only a 10 minute train ride into the city) so it was quiet and a nice get away from the city hustle and noise. The staff were great and spoke excellent English. I will be staying here again next year for Oktoberfest!

Nice room, but don't get the 4th floor. Bed is located up a flight of stairs. Also, internet didn't work, but still had to pay for it. Food prices high all over Germany, if in Hotels.
