I've stayed at various Loews Hotels across the country and the overall experience has been good. I've stayed many times at the Loews in Miami, including on my honeymoon, and this has got to be the worst time ever. They never told us about the early construction starting between 7-8am. Hey, work needs to be done...I get it. But why did the fire alarm go off in my room from 8am-10am? Ok, things happen. Does that mean that it's excusable to hear a RAT chewing and knawing its way through the wall at all hours of the day and night? My parents had the same problem at their house a few years back and I KNOW that sound. When I told the manager all she had to say was that there are no rats in her hotel. I guess she has the only building in the world without that problem. Got a new room. Should have stayed with the rats. The smell of amonia and bleach was so overwhelming that I started to vomit at 2am.....not to mention the migrane that my wife and I got from the smell. Changed my room again at 4am. They started drilling OUTSIDE of my room at 7am. After 4 nights, I don't think we slept more than 12 hours the whole time. After calling Travel online and telling them that we wanted to leave a day early and stay at a different hotel, they said the Loews would only issue a refund if we checked out within 5 minutes or less. After this nightmare, we had less than 5 minutes to leave. Too many hotels to chose from that actually care about customer service. The Loews just lost me and everyone else within earshot of me as a customer.

The Loew's Miami Beach Hotel is under construction RIGHT NOW. DO NOT STAY HERE! The drilling starts at 7 a.m. and, according to the front desk, "we do not have a time frame for the duration of the construction work on any given day," which means -- ALL DAY. Add to the noise the smell of paint and new construction materials, overwhelming in one of the three rooms we tried to stay in. The people who run this hotel should be ashamed. Plus, this hotel as NO exercise facilities. There is a spa next door and you can pay $* per day per person to use it. In my opinion that is exactly the same as having a YMCA down the street. NO FACILITIES at this hotel.

This was a great place to stay. Beach access right out back. 24 hour pool. Walking distance to restaurants shops. Rooms were clean. We had a balcony, view of the beach was amazing. The only bad experiences were the protesters outside early in the morning and the renovations going on during the day.

This hotel was not only pleasing to the eye but the staff was friendly and very accommodating. We had an issue with the air condiditoning and both times maintenance came up right away &;despite it being 2:00am. There was also a problem with the TV for most of our stay. There was a problem with receiving a signal for most of the channels. The hotel was very apologetic and we received a $ food and/or drink voucher, a late checkout and a cheese/cracker/wine spread with an apology card. The room was modern and very comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom did not seem to be bright enough but overall this was a great room. The food was great at Prestons and at the bar. The pool and beach area, hotel, hotel rooms, public restrooms, bar and lobby was very clean and comfortable. The employees made the stay an enjoyable one. Would recommend this hotel without a doubt.

Loved this hotel...staff was very welcoming...we stayed in one of the renovated rooms and it was great...the pool was amazing...the jacuzzi was even better! One thing I do have to say is if you talk a bit too loud in your room security WILL come knocking at your door! It's Miami..noise is part of the experience! Otherwise I would definitely stay there again!
