DISAPPOINTMENT TURNED TO HAPPINESS

UPON CHECK-IN WE WERE GIVEN A NON-SMOKING ROOM. SINCE THE HOTEL WAS BOOKED, WE HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY FOR A SMOKING ROOM. THE FIRST ROOM WAS SO SO, BUT ONCE WE CHANGED, IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY WE PAID. THE FRONT DESK CLERK, X, WAS VERY HELPFUL. THERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THE DINING FACILITIES. BUT A WALK TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HARBOR, TO THE BAHIA CABANA, IS WELL WORTH THE WALK. IT'S A SHORT WALK,. THEIR FOOD WAS REASONABLE AND TASTY. THERE ARE SOME UP SCALE SHOPS IN THE FACILTY, WHICH WERE FUN TO LOOK AT. OVERALL, ONCE WE CHANGED OUR ROOM, WE WERE VERY HAPPY. IT'S A SHORT WALK ACROSS THE STREET TO THE BEACH, WHICH WAS THE MAIN REASON WE STAYED THERE.

Friendly staff. Clean room with mini-frig & plush comforter. Secure safe deposit box in room. Room to beach in less than 60 sec. using walkway over A1A.Pool located on elevated deck with nice view of ocean. Nice selection of excursions including snorkling/ scuba, sunset cruises, dinner cruises. Catamaran sailing was exceptional - the captain /crew were very professional. Great resort experience for Motel 6 price.
