Thanks X at the Concierge Desk. You were outstanding. I will always remember your services. The Hotel staff in general was very helpful and accomodating. I will always go back to the Hilton Metropole while in London. Room was small but since I was on the 23rd floor the view was spectacular. Great Breakfast, high quality and good selection. Hotel location is perfect. Please go to this Hilton in London and it would be hard to be dissapointed. E.Dupote. Miami. Florida.USA

My wife and I have stayed here for the last 4 years for a couple of weeks at the first of December and it is ideal due to the location. I have asked for an early check in each year and have yet to receive one but they didn't seem to mind my wife and I sleeping on the couches in the lobby until the 3 PM Check in time when magically the room is available. Lots of ice at the bar in the lobby. This location being close to the Bakerloo and Circle lines makes it ideal to get to any part of London fast and efficiently. The rooms are typical of most three star hotels in London but the Pool and Fitness staff is always top notch. The M & S across the street and the Arabic Tesco knock off on the other street make it ideal for early morning or late night snacks. The value and location are the two keys that make this the best Hotel I have stayed at in London for going on 30 years. The location to the Heathrow Express at Paddington make it nice for an easy arrival and get out of town quick location. If you like Kabobs the eating options are ulimited in the immediate area. I've booked this hotel again for this Christmas so either I am getting soft or this is a pretty darn good Hotel.

We stayed at the Hilton Metropole for a week in early May 2008. Our room was a "deluxe room" but was still very cramped. (I shudder to think what a standard room was like.) We could not walk side by side past each other at the foot of the two full-size beds...the path was that narrow. The view out the window was electrical boxes and wiring, so not a big selling point. The bathroom was average and closet space somewhat limited, but the room was well kept by hotel staff. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to a variety of transportation options. The hotel is very close to 2 tube station entrances for London's Underground. Several tube lines overlap here--you have direct access to 4 different lines and it's pretty easy to connect to the others within a few stops. The hotel is only a few tube stops from St. Pancras International where you can catch the Eurostar to Paris (we did that in a very full day trip). Paddington Station is also nearby for transportation to and from Heathrow Airport--we managed the walk from the station to the hotel with backpacks and wheeled suitcases. There's a department store across the street from the hotel with a food market offering fresh salads, sandwiches and ready-to-eat entrees. That definitely helped ease the terrible exchange rate between the dollar and the pound and made meals more affordable. Overall we didn't love the room or the hotel but it was fine as a ?home base? and place to crash in the evenings. After all, it was vacation and we didn't travel all that way to spend our time in a hotel room!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and received excellent service. The bed was huge and the bathroom was ample. There are 2 subway stops within a block of the hotel. For the price I paid, On our next trip to London, we will make sure that we stay here again. We even received chocolate, strawberries and champagne in our room ( I guess we looked newlywed).
