The Casa Monica is a hotel in a class by itself. The room was extremely comfortable with clean beds that provide and excellent nights sleep. When we first entered our room, the Bose stereo was playing a jazz CD which was available for the length of our stay. Not only did the room have a coffee pot for in the mornings, but Starbucks coffee was provided for our morning pot. The pool deck is a great place to relax. While the pool isn't more than 3 or 4 feet deep, it was very relaxing and the bar will bring up refreshments if you call and request them. Also, the hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The only complaint I had with the hotel is that the restaurant, 95 Cordova, did not have a vegetarian main dish. There were 2 items on the menu, appetizers, which a non-meat eater could partake in, but nothing else. This might be something the restaurant could remedy at some point in the future.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a romantic hotel or even to families. Our first trip to this hotel was for our honeymoon and it was fabulous! (be sure to schedule an in-room massage and get the chocolate covered strawberrys and wine - I recommend San Sebastian Vitners Red; local winery;. This trip, we took my husband's 5 year old son. Great stay! Clean room, great staff, great pool and hot tub, nice clean beds and linens and, GREAT LOCATION. This hotel is within walking distance of most of the attractions - or you can catch the trolley, which is a great deal at just $23 per adult. (We prefer the green one with cushioned seats). Fabulous Hotel!!!!!!!!

We just attended a benefit for the Wild Reserve at the Casa Monica. When we asked for some chairs, because all tables were filled, we were refused by four different catering staff. We were told to eat in the lobby. We had no choice, so we ate there, accompanied by the sound of flushing urinals. The food was stringy and cold and the staff was rude. So much for fine dining. While we live nearby, we will no longer go to the Casa Monica...for anything.

This has to be one of the most spectacular hotels in the united states! The interior and exterior architechture is awe-worthy. The limited service we required was impecable and one could not request more of a location. Great shopping both modest and extravagant are within two blocks. This was a great experience!
