Other than the room being a little smal, everything else was very good!!! They granted my early checkin, had my bottle of wine in the room ready for when my girlfriend and I checked in, and the room service was exceptional and fast the next morning. If i am ever in the philly area again I would stay there. Thanks, Doubletree staff!!!!!

Horrible Management

I reserved our room 1 1/2 months in advance and confirmed that everything would be ready to go. After a LONG day of travel we arrived at our hotel that evening ready to put our feet up and relax. The receptionist gave me the keys to our room and we headed up to check things out. Our room ended up being a pull-out bed, when we had reserved a Double Queen. I was upset, and called the front desk to discuss the issue at hand. The receptionist was very rude, and informed me that they were sold-out and that there was nothing that they could do. I was VERY upset at this point so I called back and asked for the Manager. The Manager got on the phone and asked us to come down to the Lobby and relax while she took care of it. We waited in the Lobby for nearly 45 minutes and I was fed up, so I headed over to the counter to see how things were coming along. I very calmly asked the Manager if they were able to take care of the situation and she told me to calm down and take a seat. This is where I had to walk away before I punched her in the face, I couldn't believe that after patiently waiting for them to fix a mistake they had made, that I would be asked to ""calm down."" When they finally found a room they sent our Bell-hop over to give us the new keys and take us to our room. Our Bell-hop was the most professional and concerned employee there.

I was there for a conference. The meeting rooms were very good, large and comfortable. The rooms were large. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I really have no complaints and would stay there again if I ever have occasion to travel to Philadelphia in the future.

We had our 5th semi-annual conference at this hotel; it was by far the best service we have ever had (and we have used other major chains before). From the moment we made contact with the hotel the service was extraordinary. For our preconference meeting, the committee was expecting to go over lists across the event coordinator's desk. Not so. We went to a beautiful boardroom where the heads of every department were waiting for us, one by one told us of the features and services that their respective areas would provide and asked us if there were any issues we wanted to talk about.
During the conference, all the meeting rooms had a special phone that we could pick up at any moment to ask for any help needed. And we would get it within 5 minutes.
Every hotel employee (with very few exceptions) greeted people with a smile and had a friendly disposition.
The hotel even provided the planning committee with a complimentary round of drinks and appetizers at the lobby bar the last night of the event.
As for me, the room was heavenly -- I didn't miss my own bed and didn't know I wasn't home until I would open my eyes in the morning.
If you are planning an event in Philadelphia, don't hesitate to book it at the DoubleTree. You won't be disappointed.
