Never again! This was my first stay at the Doubletree San Antonio Airport only because I waited too long to book and my favorite hotel was sold out. Here are all the cons: The room was small and had a "funny mildewy smell". No microwave or fridge. Hotel sign was unlit the 2 nights that we stayed. Bathroom has no countertop to spread out toiletries/makeup - just a small sink and mirror. Limited channels available on the TV (only 20). The saltillo tile floors in the bathroom were dirty and had plenty of hair from previous occupants as well as hair on the tile of the shower wall. My room had an adjoining door which made it possible to hear "everything" including whole conversations taking place in the room next door. You can also hear guests conversing out in the hallway corridor. The walls are so thin that I could hear someone in the room next to me using the toilet followed by the sound of the toilet flushing which is so overly LOUD that it actually startled me out of a sleep on one occasion. The room temp was set at 72 but throughout the night I was constantly kicking off the covers only to cover up about 10 minutes later. The temperature setting could not be adjusted and I never once heard the air come on. The only good thing that I can say about this hotel is that it looks good from the outside and they have a pretty lobby and the front desk personnel are very courteous, especially when I went up to the front desk in my sleeping clothes to complain that the occupants in the next room were being extremely loud and gregarious. For what I paid to stay here, I expected much more.

I was dissappointed in the on site resturant ( oatmeal * a bowl). Did not even darken their door. TV only had limited channels- no weather or channel guide. The water saver shower took more water to rinse off than a reguler shower. The cleaning lady was good and I had fresh towels and clean bed every day. Otherwise it was nice, but will not stay there again.

The front desk at the hotel was very friendly. The hotel was very nice buth there were a few things that I was not happy about. The breakfast buffet was very expensive so we dined out for the most part, the bathroom was not working properly so we had to call the front desk several times and it took them a while to respond. The room was very hot at times and you could hear every single noise coming from the other rooms and the people in the hallway. The television was not working porperly it seemed as though it was extremely old and was gonna give out on us and the pool area was well kept but there was an incident where the lights on one of the pools gave out and drove all the guests out of the pool. I probably would not stay at this particular hotel again.

This hotel is very conveniently located for my purposes. The hotel gym is nice with dumbells that peak at 50lbs each with eliptical and running machines as well. If that is not enough there is a full service gym about 3 miles from the hotel. There are a good amount of restaurants and shopping close by. Access to the airport and the interestates 410 and 281 is very easy. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dining menu is good. Overall I would rate this as an excellent experience.

I wasn't expecting the hotel to look as it did. we were greeted by the staff with cookies; however, the room was a little dirty for where I found trash from previous patrons, such as receipts, milk/juice caps, lotion, and there was hair all over the tub and also inside the ice bucket. the tub was clogged, the water won't go down fast, and the toilet was acting up, got clogged several times, and when you flush the toilet, it will stay pushed down and the water will flow non stop. I'd stay again but not in the same room. #323.
