Small rooms but all NY City hotels are small. Good location a few blocks from Grand Central and Times Square. Television cable wouldn't work. Called front desk and the fixed it immediately but then it stopped again 10 minutes later so we just went to bed.

Location was excellant. Walking distance to most things we did. Room is small but very sufficient for what you need. Bed comfortable but sheets kept pulling off. Restaurant is very expensive so we ate else where. But there are so many rest. in the area that were good. I would stay here again.

We were completely satisfied with our accomodations at the Algonquin. Staff and personel were so nice and helpful. I didnt lift a finger with my luggage. They helped us with directions and gave us maps. I felt like they lived there and we were family visiting from out of town at their house. The rooms were bigger than I expected and I even had a closet for all our luggage. The beds and room were very clean and I am very picky about the room. All the towels and sheets seemed like new. I would stay there again and again. Thanks to X he's so sweet!

I have stayed at the hotel right next door several times. The Algonquin had always been out of my price range, but this time I was lucky. I had a beautiful room facing 44th St. with a bay window. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The plumbing is a delight. It is antique, but that is the point of staying here. One steps back into time. The tub isn't very long, but very deep. Perfect for my short legs. The plug is a device outside the tub and needs to be explained by the bellman when you arrive. I loved it. From the dark wood living room lobby that is prowled by Matilda the cat to the little captions on the doors of each room.
